This is the new revised convention of naming military vehicles in the Spinnish military. Each category retains its own unique naming conventions. (Examples irl include US helicopters being named after Native American tribes: Chinook, Apache, Iroquois, Cheyenne, etc. or US battleships named after states: Wisconsin, Iowa, Arizona Texas, etc.)

Any military vehicles to be put into service or completed from this year of 1968 and onwards will abide to these rules for naming conventions. Military contractor entities such as General Corp Inc and Raphaelis Defense are required to follow the conventions too.

If any exceptions are wanted for naming, requests must be submitted to the Spinnish Government.

Section A: Aerial

Helicopters

Named after avians/animals capable of flight.

Fighter Aircraft

Named after animals, Natural phenomena (lightning or thunder is an example), birds of prey/raptors, and mythical creatures.

Attack/Strike Aircraft

Named after animals, Natural phenomena, and any approved nouns.

Bomber Aircraft

Named after animals, Natural phenomena, and any approved nouns.

Transport, Tanker/Logistics Aircraft

Named after animals, Natural phenomena, any approved nouns, and names associated with transport.

Electronic Warfare Aircraft

Named after mythical creatures, mythology, birds of prey/raptors, allusions to things that observe (eyes, hawks, etc).

Reconnaissance and/or Patrol Aircraft

Named after mythical creatures, mythology, allusions to things that observe, allusions to hidden entities, and mirages.

Section B: Ground

Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFV)

Named after Spinnish fauna (Lynx, bears, foxes, wolves, bulls, etc), and historic Spinnish battles. (Battle for For-Rants, Battle of Exeter, Battle of Caen, etc).

Armored Personnel Carriers (APC)

Named after Spinnish fauna, and Spinnish fortresses.

Amphibious Crafts

Named after amphibious animals.

Self-Propelled Artillery and Self-Propelled Guns or Other Artillery Systems (SPH/SPG)

Named after Volcanoes, Spinnish military commanders, and storms.

Logistics vehicles

Named after Spinnish fauna, rivers, and names associated with transport.

Air Defense Platforms

Named after birds of prey/raptors, and historic Spinnish fortresses and battles.

Main Battle Tanks (MBT)

Named after Spinnish fauna, castles, generals, and battles.

Light Combat Vehicles (LCV)

Named after Spinnish fauna, and commanders.

Section C: Naval

Destroyers (All classes)

Named after Spinnish Admirals and historical references.

Guided Missile Cruisers

Named after Spinnish regions (Next-in-co, Can’t-uh-duh, Iberia, Latinia, etc).

Heavy Guided Missile Cruisers

Named after Spinnish cities.

Attack Submarines

Named after Spinnish cities.

Guided Missile Submarines

Named after Spinnish naval battles (Battle of Cancun, Battle of the Anglish channel, Battle of Port Sudan, etc).

Ballistic Missile Submarines

Named after the most famous and honored Spinnish military leaders in history.

Aircraft Carriers

Named after sitting or former Spinnish leaders (Prado, Fiasco, Zapato, Montesa).

Corvettes

Named after constellations (Spinnish names), and names referencing the ocean or sea.

Frigates

Named after Spinnish coastal cities.

Patrol Vessels

Named after honorable sailors and soldiers for the Spinnish Armada.

These naming conventions are brand new, and could change. Before this revision all military vehicles were just names that stuck, over time made by the designers or soldiers that operated them. Now it is more organized and well thought out.
