yes, im learning how to make games because there is no good games for MacintoshOPERATINGSYSTEM.
Firstly, it will be a single aircraft flight simulator, meaning you will only fly one aircraft, like those old 2D computer games (for example, “Hind” or “Falcon”) but obviously in 3D.
IMPORTANT ↓
Currently I’m torn between making it a MiG-25 game, a MiG-31 game, or a MiG-23 game, as all three of those are my favorite Soviet fighters, please help me choose :)
FEATURES:
fully modeled and interactable cockpit
full and realistic start-up system
VR (highly unlikely it will happen anytime soon)
MACOS SUPPORT (obviously)
Specifically designed missions! (i.e B-52 formation interceptions and that stuff)
Free-flight/sandbox
Realistic damage model(will probably be very basic for like 2-3 years)
so far, all three answers are tied, so I will spin a wheel.
edit: the flogger won best of three
seems like a boring game idea
@Randomplayer it’s a problem with all Macs, but if you’re saving to get a windows then you’re good (although at least you don’t have a chromebook because those are worse than Macs)
And I’m saving up for a windows PC in 3-4 momths
@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 I already own a Mac so it should be fine, it’s an M2
Suggestion, don’t get a Mac if possible unless it’s for school or work, they’re horrible for anything else and slow down significantly in 3-4 years
@Randomplayer A whole game is a tall order.
Very tall.
VERY tall.
@Graingy I hope it turns out all right
@Randomplayer You've a long way to go, I reckon.
Good luck, in any case.
@Graingy learnING programming
@Convex unfortunately I will be using a blender model for the game, thanks for the offer though
You learned programming?

I like mig-23 myself but 31 or 25 will be cooler!
Go with all
I like the 23
Soviet turbo bricks mentioned
MiG-31 the absolute goat (alternatively MiG-25 so you can have the defect to japan mission)
if you use sp models for your game i could probably help
