The morning of September 11th of 2001 saw the hijacking of 4 passenger aircraft, two of which hit the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center complex (WTC1 and WTC2) in New York. The towers burned for around 30 minutes before collapsing completely.
One of the aircraft flew into the Pentagon and the passengers of the other fought against the hijackers and flew it into a field
Don't feel bad for not knowing, it's taught in the US every year on this day through every grade of school, but it's not relevant to any other nation, we just make it relevant to everyone else online
Also, for reference, the police number 911 came around because of the event

@butterscotchpie u dont know what 9/11 means? poor kid, lemme explain. 9/11 is a date of attack. September means 9th month of the year and, 11 means day. so 11th day of september, 2001: 2 aircraft perform a kamikaze attack on twin towers, world trade center, NY, USA
