Bonus: How to play LAN on Old Roblox.
Warning: LAN is not the same as making a public server everyone can join. Only people on your network can join.

Edit: the steps listed below may not work. I recommend not wasting your time.
First, grab a standalone 2008 RobloxApp.exe (not Studio, I suggest using this link) and a .rbxl map with a SpawnLocation(I suggest using this one). Open the map with RobloxApp.exe, press F9 to open the console, and run this on the host PC:
game:GetService("NetworkServer"):Start(53640, 10)
Then on the second PC (same client version), open the console and run:
game:GetService("NetworkClient"):Connect("192.168.x.x", 53640)
Replace the IP with the host's local IP. Players will auto-spawn if the map is set up right.

@YarisHatchback Any time, although I would HIGHLY suggest using Novetus if you are on a modern PC. I actually had to get this info from ChatGPT, believe it or not, because LAN, especially on a STOCK (yes officer, it is stock) old Roblox build was WAAY too obscure. But I think it may have been lying, because I didn't get it to fully work. Also, I can't overstate HIGHLY enough for Novetus. It's way more user friendly and way less obscure than trying to run LAN on an ACTUAL Roblox client, as Novetus was built with LAN in mind, unlike the long dead servers the 2008 build used.
