All these posts are from the same guy. Their name is fevape1590, and I doubt that this “user” is a bot.

Their promoting some kind of illegal gambling stuff or something.

SOME ADVICE TO DIFFERENTIATE A WHITE-RANKED USER AND A BOT:

  • White-ranked users will usually post planes first while bots will go to the forums or comments section.

  • Their English grammar is very flawless for a white-ranked user.

  • They have ZERO upvote points.

  • Their “accounts” are fresh, only created like a few hours ago.

  • Bots will attempt to link some website that is nowhere related to SimplePlanes.

  • The subject of a bot's post will center around random things from business advertising and financial stuff to some degree, other dangerous stuff like scam websites.

If you think that the user matches all of the characteristics aforementioned above, report your findings immediately. It is not a user but a bot. Theoretically, a pre-emptive strike on these bots can ensure that they cannot spread immediately in huge numbers.

@AManWillDieButNotHisIdeas I know Lunar Eclipse SP would be happy to join, I’ll try and make a forums post announcing the formation, then I will make an unlisted chat where we can talk about the bots if the need airisees

@F16xl We should. In fact, they could have been dealt with earlier when bots started to terrorize the website. The question is how? Any suggestions?

@AManWillDieButNotHisIdeas Hmm, well if the devs, or mods, can’t keep up with bots, should we form a task force

@AManWillDieButNotHisIdeas Possibly, or that the companies themselves are using AI to create bot accounts that just link people to their bizz

@F16xl So apparently, it also seems that the spam bots are somewhat “copy and pasting” unsuspecting businesses.

    I got a plan!
    .
If one day we encounter some bot comments or forum, just comment or reply them with "Nice try, Diddy"
    .
I know this sounds stupid and "spammy" though

I have seen these in the JNO website. They are pretty annoying so I just report them and say "Stop with your scamming"

As long as we don’t click or anything the person running the bots might realize that posting here isn’t worth their time

The only suggestion that I can suggest for the site maintainer or developer
    .
This should be taken care immediately. And also, I mean like...

    Mate! This ain't Instagram, bro...

To add a point, these bot accounts are fresh. Created within a few hours of the forum post.
