How many parts can be considered mobile friendly?

5,540 Korzalerke2147483647  1.2 years ago

The jet I'm making has passed 200 parts already and I haven't even made the livery yet. I don't think it'll go past 400 (since nothing I made except for that flying cube has had that many), but it'll probably reach 250–300.

What part count could be considered the average limit for mobile players? I'm asking so I know whether to add the mobile friendly tag or not when it's done.

The best amount is around 400 and 550 Parts.

i usually use less FT and parts (500 part limit)
one of the reasons why my builds doesn't really look good
so that mobile players can also enjoy

Based on comments on MF posts I've seen on the site, 1-400 can be considered MF

I can run pretty much anything on the site without lag on my iPhone 12, but my laptop can handle a maximum performance cost of a few thousand before it starts to lag.

At around 3500 parts my phone starts to dip in frame rate (iPhone 11)

it depends on the creator I guess
if for example they feel most mobile devices could handle their builds, they'll mark it as a mobile friendly device
I myself consider a build to be mobile friendly to be around <300 parts, but even a 300 part creation would sometimes be unfriendly, so the barrier is really vague tbh

I'd say over 4000 (at max settings), because I own a mobile device and can do that.

It's a PC with a battery backup system (UPS).

Depends on the drag calculations and all that. I've run 4000 part builds on my phone better than some 800 part ones because people turned off all the drag

    It depends on device.
For me, mobile friendly ends at 3500 parts. 4000 can be achieved with uncomfortable lag.

    • 900+ parts causes orange download button (on my iPhone SE at least)
    • 800 parts if cockpit interior is included
    • 1000 parts is the absolute threshold for mobile devices from what I've observed, it's the benchmark for my aircraft/liveries (though I rarely go above 900)

500-3500 parts depending on your device's ram

It depends on the device, but around 350-400 can be considered.

But most go up to 500 so don't worry
