Pray for Turkey

A magnitude-7.8 earthquake hit southeastern Turkey and parts of Syria in the early hours of the morning of 6 February. At least 5,000 people are known to have lost their lives, with thousands more injured. The quake was followed by a magnitude-7.5 event some 9 hours later, as well as more than 200 aftershocks.

@SheriffHackdogMCPE i agree like why would someone think that a devastating earthquake is political? It doesnt make any sense at all!

@ShinyGemsBro just like what @Sparky6004 said, its meant to show that we care but we have nothing we can do. (sorry about my grammar) :)

@ShinyGemsBro it’s more so saying as “Instead of not caring that happened, I care and support you. Can’t do anything, but I give you my condolences” sorta deal. More or less a moral thing.
“Go get em, show em what for!”
Not “Durrrrr Here’s a few pixels”
If you lost a loved one, would you rather me say “Sorry for what happened” or say “nah, L”?
    .
Edit: I mean this as a kind-directed question, hope this doesn’t come across wrong

@FlyingPatriot umm, any discussion of natural disasters doesn't necessarily mean politics

Please, let's not start any drama over a massive loss of lives and property damage, its disrespectful and doesn't make any sense at all.

@FlyingPatriot Uhhhummfh "death if innocent people" isn't at all, uh, politics.
The definition of politics is "the activities associated with the governance of a country or area, especially the debate between parties having power."
The reason political discussions aren't allowed is because many people feel very strongly about certain sides of debates and it often leads to heated arguments.
The earthquake in Turkey doesn't have anything to do with the government amd it doesn't even hve any debate in it. It's literally just that people died in an earthquake. I have no clue how something on your brain went from earthquake to politics...

@Sparky6004 @Red920 That's why I said If you can, do it. If you can't, don't.
Putting up hashtags telling people to pray for Turkey won't do anything other than make it a trend that'll only die out until people wouldn't give a rat's ass anymore. I'm only saying that solid help is better than a few words on a screen that 80-90% of the
general population could care less about cause it doesn't concern them.
    .
And I'm sorry about your poor upbringing and I feel you for that, but it really doesn't help with the point here.

@jamesPLANESii I'm sorry, because I'm used to that on this site, when it comes to the death of innocent people, it's called politics.
And I also remember how a year ago a similar post was deleted because it was political.

@Dathcha Gonna have to agree with that. Instead of just putting hands together closing eyes and talking to oneself, start moving and send actual help. Praying can only do so much and make one minimally feel better about themselves.
    .
Send help, not prayers. If you can, do it. If you can't, don't. Take action, not thought.
    Move AND think.

that was the most insane earthquake I have ever seen (judging by the fact that it happened in 2 countries at the same time, and what caused so many deaths, that happened after midnight, which at that time many people were sleeping and when the quake hit they had not much time to save themselves), and btw, my country (🇵🇭) had sent a rescue team/contingent to assist in search, rescue and humanitarian operations

prayers for Turkey, Syria and its people, and stay safe.
