Title says it all. I know how to make vertical ones and most vehicles with turrets i make nowadays i add a vertical stabilizer (thanks to Walv!s' tutorial), but horizontal ones i have no idea. The concepts i came up with on my own either rotate the whole vehicle, a block betwen 2 rotators or make the turret look more like a helicopter engine.
If you know how to, can you either give me a comprehensive tutorial or just link me to a build that i can reverse engineer? I'd apreciate it a lot. Idk what i'd add it to, but i will find something.
@Grob0s0VBRa thanks!
Way №1:
You put cockpit on a turret and use gyroscope. Modify its third (yaw) input to
-rate(Heading) + your_normal_input
Kinda simillar with how to vertical stab by Walvis.
Way №2:
put flight controller (not main cockpit) on a turret and use its variable output (heading; name it somehow, then insert it into turret rotator part, plus debug whole FT for a proper rotation speed, as the variable will slow it down...)
Using automatic turrets should work
Look at some of the high quality tanks uploaded recently, (perhaps by RussianAce?) i know some of them have that. I tried making one of my own using rate(Heading) once, But it was super janky.
