1 - see if the creator jokes alot, and/or attempts to rick roll others often. It only takes about 5 minutes scrolling through their comments list.
2 - if you know its a link and you want to press on it, dont, unless you are confident about what it is, or it is a trusted source that you know wont Rick-Roll you.
3 - install this free open source extension so you wont get rick-rolled. It basically scans the extension before you open it and it will say what link it is. Works on most websites which is super cool too. If you want the link, here it is:
www.rick-rollblocker.com/download/free
10/10 it works!
I downloaded it and can confirm it works superbly.
@WarHawk95 its just a link to the youtube channel! There is a video that will show you the link!
I've found the rick-rollblocker extension to only work half the time. I prefer this extension. It isn't specifically designed against Rick Rolls, but it does allow you block any link / webpage you want (including the youtube upload of Never Gonna Give You Up).
Or you can just put your mouse on the link. Your browser will tell you what's the link's adress.
I dont get why people dont want to get rick rolled. I clicked that link knowing full well its a legit rick roll blocker and i was right
Haha thanks to ads who saved me

Alternatively, you can blindly, but fearlessly click random links.
You may get rickrolled, but at least you're not a coward.
