I wanna know what strategies do you guys use in a dogfight. Here's mine:

1.In the beginning, when i enter enemy's missile range,i use flares because the enemy will mostly spam those missiles at me.

2.After that,i lock on
to an enemy as much as possible because when i lock on the enemy,he will use flares and eventually run out of them.

3.When i notice that enemy is out of flares,i can be free to Fox 2 him back to the stone age.

And i almost forgot:EVADE THE GUNFIRE!

@SuperSuperTheSylph missiles can oftentimes be evaded without flares as long as you’re maneuverable enough. Rather than flying around all insane, wait until the missile is just about to impact, and then at the last second, pull off from your main flight path and the missile should overshoot you. Typically this works in dogfights where the opposing aircraft isn’t too heavily decked out with missiles, but with more densely armed aircrafts, it doesn’t work as well due to the sheer volume of missiles they can throw at you.

@AWESOMENESS360 ok but i use mods such as Fire and forget Guardian(which works on my Android device probably because it's scriptless),so i think that can be applied to that missile as well.
Also i think Interceptors should be used when enemy is BVR,but with right XML modding you can make them ultra maneuverable, accurate and deadly at close range dogfights,so enemy cannot have time to drop flares before being vaporised.

By the way,i prefer dogfights than BVR engagements.
Also, tell me how to evade missiles WITHOUT flares.

Pro tip: don’t use Interceptor Missiles:

Interceptors are guided by their own radar, and if the lock is broken by countermeasures, it can’t be re-established. With Guardian Missiles however, they can lock right back onto a target! For instance, if you lock onto an enemy with Guardians, and they break the lock with Countermeasures, you can get the missile to lock onto them again as long as the enemy is in your lock circle. You don’t even need to fire another missile! Combine this with some Overload editing, and you get a Missile that is nearly unavoidable, capable of taking down anything that isn’t as fast as it is.
