tl;dr, I was looking at old builds and found inspiration.

This is the XB-73 Linebacker by DestinyAviation.

And this is the KX-B97 Centurion-Valkyrie by me, heavily based on the Linebacker because I loved the design so much (and still do lmao).

This is what I currently have for what I call the XB-97 Maverick. It would've been designed in the 60s as a low-altitude high-subsonic deep penetration strike bomber carrying a considerable nuclear payload. It'd have a pair of 20mm revolver cannons mounted in a radar-guided turret operated by a guy sitting in the tail for defensive armament. There'd also be a pair of internal bays however these would usually be loaded with fuel or Electronic Warfare equipment as the nukes would be externally carried. There'd prolly be a decent bit of drag from said nukes but that would be mitigated with aerodynamically shaped casings and hardpoints.

Some major differences will be in the wing design, which will be more trapezoidal, to enable the aircraft to achieve higher top speeds, likely different engine nacelle designs, the removal of dorsal and ventral turrets in favor of a more streamlined tail turret, and prolly other stuff.

I hope you won't mind, Destiny. I just gotta do it, lol.
