Hello!
I love simpleplanes, it’s one of the best games you can get! But how come SimpleRockets gets all the attention Jundroo? They get cool procedurally generated landing gear with working bays and cockpits that open and close that you can put instruments in! Simpleplanes needs an edge to make it worthwhile and I believe it’s time for more parts, and I don’t just mean more parts but I mean things that you can’t get out of any other game out there! I have a set of demands (hoping the community backs me on this one) and I hope you guys read through them!
The Demands
- Balloon Parts! (or slider)
-We want working blimps/zeppelins that don’t require funky trees! (ideally in the form of fuselage blocks) - Hot Air Ballons!
-Just like the aforementioned except as it’s own adjustable part and powered! - Cycloidial Propulsion
-Simpleplanes needs to be a little more exotic, wings and rotors don’t do the job man! Having niche elements really add to the experience! - Magnus Effect Wings!
-Give us our tendy buckets! And mak’em adjustable too! - Gliding Parachutes!
-We want the ability to make paragliders! - Tank Tracks
-Flying tanks man! Plus you’ve heard this a thousand times! - Ornithopter Wings! (sort of)
-We can already make them as-is, but it could be a nice option. It would also be understandable if the idea didn’t flow well with SimplePlanes so let’s call this one a sort-of demand! - SimpleRockets Style Cockpits & landing gear (sort of)
-You guys may have a reasoning for not doing the same on simpleplanes, however it should really be here too! Bet it’s understandable if not.

We really appreciate the work you Jundroo puts into SimplePlanes, so if you happen to read this, don't take it too literally! SimplePlanes still is one of the best games you can get but if you need ideas, here's where to find them
I also noticed all the devs upvoted a post on having an SP2, and it's all starting to add up

simplerockets 2 is in early access thats what SR2 gets all the attention @Thorne

I feel like half of these things are just stuff you as an individual want, as this is the first time I've heard someone suggest balloon parts or a magnus wing

More parts would be nice and all but one of the things I love about this game is people finding ways of doing complex things with very limited parts. What I'd love to see is a more simplified/ user friendly version of funkytrees.

Yeah, I’d imagine, SimpleRockets pushes a lot of those boundaries and causes problems for some mobile users @FinX
i would like thrust vectoring engines which don’t require funky trees
@BagelPlane that's a huge one, I can never see the runways at night an it would be nice to have working cockpit lights

You can tell I lean agree on the ornithopter wings, but Cycloidal propulsion would really just be the same as propellers and rotors, it’s not really that complicated, it’s just a part you slap on @Fungus
I need ground effect so I can finally make an ekranoplan (specifically the A-90 but it was made in just $20)
Things that wont work:
Orinthopter wings, we can make them already, they dont need to be a built in feature
Cycloidal propulsion, big, bulky, and no new player will know how they work.
While i want simplerockets style engines and landing gear, cockpits would be too much

New car engines need to be added. No one can tell what type of engine is in the game. I2 I4 V8? H8? Also it sounds like a kettle.
