What is the most effective way to improve maneuvering ?

6,768 Gx  3.5 years ago

so I have seen a lot of planes maneuver as fast as lightning quite literally
And I would like to know the most effective way to this and I am ready to sit down for hours for this . Please help
Along with that if anyone knows how make some kinda really out of this world futuristic type flight systems then please do teach me . I won't disappoint you
One other issue thati commonly have is my planes wobble a lot when at high speeds when closer to the ground , Very realistic obviously but the planes I make are a little I guess you could say op type where the have some really special abilities that in this world probably unrealistic
Please and thanks!

    Thanks @Gluck , @F104Deathtrap , @rexrexThezion for the help!
It did help quite a bit

I think I'm qualified to comment here, so I will.
What I do is set most of my mass to zero. If you check some of my (recent) planes, most are in the 500-1500 pound range. This helps a lot with maneuverability, as the wings don't have to lift much weight. Looking at your most recent plane, it's about 8K pounds, which is a little too much for the wings to impressively perform
About the high-speed wobbling-that usually happens on wings. Instead of using regular wings, try using structural wings. With them, you can add the control surface and enable wing physics in Overload. They won't wobble. Another solution is a more complex, higher part fuselage—don't really know why but that seems to help.
If my advice is bad (it is) try reverse-engineering this. If that's not supermaneuverable, I don't know what is (LandingGear to deactivate gyro mode btw).
    Hope this helps :)

so like add weight To the wings ?

No. Wing loading is the size of the wing compared to the weight of the plane. Bigger wings and lighter planes can turn tighter than heavier planes with smaller wings.

There are many other factors that determine maneuverability: speed, the amount of thrust, center of thrust, thrust vectoring (actually rotating the engine exhaust), center of lift, center of mass, the size and maximum deflection of control surfaces, the location and number of control surfaces and what kind of controls they are, and many more.
