Welcome to the Soviet side! I would recommend using the boosters (well that’s kinda a dumb thing to say) when you want to grind, since USSR is really easy to move up the ranks. Also you should definitely use mouse aim for aiming, while using a,d,q,e, and whatever you set the pitch to to evade attacks. Also, I would recommend playing with the throttle and flying at tree level if you don’t want to get hit. See you in the skies, sorry if I confused you!
Get The YAK-1!! It has good cannons and maneuverability for Boom-and-Zoom Tactic(Attack from behind).And also Use Stealth, It makes the enemy panic bcuz they don't know who's shooting them.@ArcturusAerospace

For the Tanks, I suggest That you stick with the Heavies, Like The KVs. And for ships n' stuff, I dunno, I don't play that often...
