Tank News SP!

As I understand it, everyone when they shot their tank from a cannon, saw how it explodes, and perhaps most of you Do not Know how to make your tank Protected from this.

  • How to do it?

  • 1) Increase the weight of the part (Funny, but true)

  • 2) We increase the HP details (Obviously, but fact)

  • 3) Instead of partCollisionResponse = "False"> set partCollisionResponse = "None">

  • 4) It is necessary to increase the number of fixtures of parts (Experimental Theory!)

What will come of this?

First, your tank will cease to be vulnerable to armor-piercing shells, probably to any shells of any caliber.

Secondly, if a High-explosive Shell explodes nearby, your tank may not suffer much, as last time.

(firing 50mm Granate Launcher High explosive fragmentation shell)

Fixing parts - this is experimental (theory) why experimental? but because I did not conduct any tests on this score, but concluding that the parts lose their mount with other parts during the explosion they fly off, they give this theory a chance to live, and perhaps it will provide protection against HE shells, bombs and missiles, and thereby we will make tanks, planes, ships with protection from bombs and missiles.

  • (!!!) the defense stops working if you are shot from a HE shell with increased damage through XML

I’ve tested the calibers with the no collision and anything above 300 sends the vehicle flying like a golf ball if it’s light

It's like the "none" part command you suggested in this forum, but instead the part just detaches when it takes too much damage.

Convert your photos to GIF's so they can be inserted in your post and display. I see they are JPEG's.
Thank you for your post. I hadn't found what the inputs are for part collision response. So, this is very helpful.

I've just built my tanks with actual spaced armor, it makes them pretty survivable against modeled shells, and works absolute wonders when all parts are set to DisconnectOnly

@NFIGMT Be great to have some ships that require some actual serious firepower to kill!

In the screenshots, my project is Over Heavy Infantry Fighting Vehicle, it will be released as the developers fix the Gyroscopes.
