* THE NEW CANNON PART *

  • It would be nice to be able to directly adjust the cannon caliber in mm rather then in percentage. This way, we can make more realistic cannons (20mm, 30mm, 37mm, 40mm, 45mm, 57mm, 75mm, 88mm, 127mm,... and so on)

  • Is it possible to change the projectile velocity (muzzle velocity) from mph to m/s? I think the rest of the gun parts also uses m/s to calculate muzzle velocity.

  • Optional tracer effect for the cannon projectile

  • Is it me, or does the cannon scaling feels a bit small? Its either that or the wing gun part is way too big.

* EVERYTHING ELSE *

  • Wing gun should be attachable onto fuselages. Now that we have a cannon part, why not rename the wing gun, machine gun? Extra awesomeness if the wing gun is updated to be adjustable much like the new cannon part.

  • The criteria for automatic spawning an AI controlled vehicle should be adjustable (Something about a 150 parts limit and 7 wings). Even better if there's a list that the player can use to control exactly what gets to be randomly spawned.

  • I have no idea how the control surfaces are "cut" onto the wing part, but it'd be nice if we can change the shape and size of control surfaces, individually. Right now, the control surfaces are just a percentage of the overall wing.

  • Now that we have IAS, TAS, and all that fanciness, why not go all the way with G-force indicator, vertical speed indicator (climb rate), and degree / second (turn rate)?

This is all that I can think of for now

@asteroidbook345 I simply wish for an ability to adjust the parameters for AI spawning, so the AI can spawn aircraft that exceed part limits. Turning AI spawning off is the opposite of what I want.

Well cause I’m trying to make a replica and you know people are gonna be asking why’s the velocity messed up. But anyways it should be fixed by the devs I might put in a bug report for it @Minecraftpoweer

@ChisP just edit the velocity then.

That’s what I’m using, but there is no way to edit projectile mass and drag. I think that’s the problem. Trust me Ive done thorough testing of this, somethings wrong@Minecraftpoweer

@ChisP I think the mass of the projectile does matter actually, and ofcourse drag too. There is a reason that it arcs, but it's best just to use the advanced targeting. It helps you aim and is accurate to where the projectile will go,

Well so mass apparently doesn’t have a bearing on the projectile range which I find weird but it’s true. So drag must be wrong because I know my measurements aren’t exact but if I start at Wright airport and fire off a round at 45 deg it’ll go triple to quadruple the distance from you to the USS Beast which is 9 mi.@Minecraftpoweer

@ChisP the diameter is correct, it's the inside of the barrel it measures, not the outside, and the inside is correct (measured with 150mm cannon) as for range idk how you calculated, it all depends on mass, drag, and stuff like that.

So the way you can tell is if you take the cannon part right, and if you try to scale it and it’s not right the diameter/caliber it’s actually half of what it should be. Say the cannon is 17.3 feet and 240mm caliber right (I did this on my newest build). And so the way I scale things is I take a fuselage block and make it 17.3 feet long. I then take the cannon make it 17.3 feet long. But whenever I import an image and scale it the same way, the cannon length matches but the width does not. @Minecraftpoweer Also, range calc is definitely off my 240mm cannon with 45 degrees elevation and 700m/s should only go 14.3 mi it ends up going 50mi

    Diameter/ caliber @Minecraftpoweer

@ChisP How do you mean? Diameter wise for the part it's correct. Or did you mean something else

Cannon scaling is definitely off I’ve noticed this and I think EternalDarkness has as well. What about you @Minecraftpoweer I’ve also noticed that the range calculations are way off

@Minecraftpoweer I use an online converter currently. Both wing gun and gatling gun uses m/s for muzzle velocity, so why not change it on the cannon for consistency?

Mph to m/s you say?...... just convert it online.... but a tracer could be nice
