Planes drifting on takeoff and landing

562 skullcandy01  4.6 years ago

Im trying to make a P-38 replica, but even though the wheels on my custom gear are set to the maximum traction, it turns and drifts on takeoff and gets progressively more unstable until it just does donuts on the tarmac. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Note: Since I think this may play a role in the issue, the rear gear is shorter than the front gear such that it leaves the ground before the front gear.

Thank the spooky bois of simpleplanes in advance

Maybe, The wheel in the back being shorter probably makes it to drift, But my eindecker does do that kind of thing as well

@Thelegitpilot13 People say exploded, I say rapidly and in an unplanned fashion, disassembled.

@Botfinder My center of mass is centered and my drag looks fine, but I can still try xml modding parts to be dragless

@Mmdben What if you have a dual gear config that is symmetric? Would that still drift?

The front landing gear must be in the center of the craft(0 on the X-axis).
