Recon Mission Report
After our first sweep of the east, we had the drone turn south towards an old abandoned military R&D facility. The first scan revealed that there was no activity, so we came around the front of the fort only to be met with heavy AA fire and after a short few seconds we lost connection with the drone. It is reasonable to assume that the Brotherhood of Chaos has taken the facility to house a force strong enough to wipe out the Conegsreich Republic. That is what that fortress was capable of when its original owners were still present, so we must assume the worst possibilities.

Bombardment finished? Our ground forces are almost ready. We'll keep their heads down with an air raid of eight Osprey IIs until we land.

Ok, I'll hold off the strike until your bombardment has destroyed most of the AA positions.

Sending in any air forces is suicide with the amount of AA positions on the fortress.

Good idea. We'll knock out the defensive positions, then you can damage the fort with the railguns. I'll send a couple of Bridge-class landing ships to take control once the bombardment is over, escorted by a Devestator-class destroyer.

I was thinking, the Deutschland can shell the place from her dry dock and her railguns could do massive amounts of damage to the forts defenses with high-pen ammunition. Yet I don't want to completely destroy the fortress. So, we can bombard the fort, then send in a ground force to invade.

I'm sending in 20 Osprey II strike fighters and 10 Peregrine air superiority fighters to eliminate the air defences.

I can confirm the existence of the fortress. It is 78 miles south-south-east of Maywar.

You would need anti-concrete weapons to do any damage.
Despatching my carrier battle group to the area. We'll send a Peregrine fighter on a recce of the island.

About 45 miles east of Maywar, then we flew south for about 30 minutes at cruising speed.
They can strike from up to 690 miles away.
I can send back up to 4 Warburg-class super battleships.

We lost the drone before it could send its coordinates. We could use another drone to retrace its steps and get a better view of this fort.
Officially, This fortress and the island it's on never existed.
