Ya I was at the range a couple of days ago trying out my brand new hunting rifle called an X-bolt hells canyon speed, and there was this WW2 vet there. He brought his OWN M1 GARRAND FROM TRAINING AND THE WAR and he let me shoot a clip. Except I didn’t load it cause the stupid loading thing is messed up. The veteran though told us a story of how all the trainees were all having bloody fingers and stuff because they didn’t know how to load it. @Bman01
