A Communist uprising at home distracts much of the Democratic government's efforts while the USSR makes an invasion through Alaska, destroying many nuclear installations ahead of time while committing sabotage on ones already in the main 48 states. The only amphibious invasion would be across the Bering Sea, a monumentally easier task than across the whole Pacific given their fairly s*ty navy. The invasion of the 48 would be a bit more difficult given they'd either have to get Canada to join their side or flat out invade the Yukon and area around Vancouver through the mountains and winter, and then deal with a civilian population that has more guns than civilians.
It'd be a hard fight for the Red Army, but if they stuck to their general formula of throwing people at the bullets until the enemy ran out of bullets, they MIGHT make it through and secure either a ceasefire or a conditional surrender as described here.
Regardless, California and many Pacific states might be under the head, so the Soviets would have a shot at accessing US warships there.
IDK I'm tired as all hell right now and my mind came up with this.
@MrCarrot If that's true, then I guess that makes sense.
I literally just shot off a supersonic torpedo launcher and then this happened.
.
Imagine, though.
@Aviator01 Also, don't let others know I'm trying something going sky-high and maybe beyond... (no the starships don't count bc all the current prototypes can't manage low-earth orbit).
@Aviator01 I have four aircraft carrier prototypes, an airborne battleship, three starship prototypes, two tank prototypes, three artillery prototypes, and a video trailer that hasn't been touched in about 8 months.

@Aviator01
Sorry for the ping, but what if someone has a submission that has managed to take out all the challenges?
Like, one plane hits all.
+2I commissioned this ship in honor of a very special feline for @F1849. Godspeed, Sidney.
@F1849 I have a prototype for a large cruiser, finally after multiple prototypes (and admittedly my inaction). HMS Sidney cleared to launch today.
I think one of these planes crashed into the Florida Everglades... something about the pilot disconnecting autopilot by accident.
Nothing too hard for an airborne battleship lol
Maybe...
Yet another thing that reminds me I need a PC platform for SimplePlanes, not just my iPad Pro.
+2@flightdesigner All's good, my guy
wtf Post Images just bailed on me
@flightdesigner Many didn't know about the coal bunker fire, and the fact that that might've helped contribute to her sinking.
They just think "iceberg make ship crack and she sinks".
@CruzerBlade I look back about 4 years later, and I am proud to say if my schedule doesn't c* me, I'll take up your challenge.
@Stormtrooper164 I have an iPad Pro, so thanks for the advanced warning system.

My guess is this is how the US could maybe fall:

Ah looking back on good ol' memories. Yeah when a blockade failed to stop the world economy so some boat got pushed by too much wind.
And somehow my package from Scamly.com still hasn't freaking arrived yet.
