@Warbrine people only do that to bug friends that don't follow them. Most people will leave a message along the lines of "I'm *obviously* following you, so tagging me on stuff like this makes me have 2 notifications instead of 1 which is still better than 0 but also annoying."

Hey, I don't spend too much time making planes anymore, and I would be perfectly happy to be a moderator. But I know how the devs operate the site, and if they want me as a mod, they'll let me know. As they will with anyone else.
This is accomplished by nudging. The bits will stay connected but can be moved to anywhere you like. It is possible on iOS by setting the "nudge up/down/left/right" to a headphone button. Otherwise, PC/OSX/Steam only, sorry. I'd be glad to do some nudging for you if you need.
RyneKuczy is correct. I personally prefer to be tagged when someone uses a bit off my design, but otherwise it's OK. Of course, if someone uses my designs to make something offensive (someone once took my B-Moth Y and made a "hitlers plane" out of it – the description was even worse) it's absolutely not OK.
