Dynamic Edge, the list goes on..... dunno, would think that the name should draw attention to the looks somehow, reflecting the large vertical wing, sorry to have not helped at all

  • Mkenz Aviation P-S100 "Creeper" Fixed 10.3 years ago

@Mkenz AHHHH yes, that is ALWAYS a swine to work around. the one way I see, is for the projectiles to be housed centrally, totally in line with the COM, that way its has less impact when they are gone, that's not to say it doesn't mess up the balance! I would make a plane balanced first, then add the projectiles, knowing they would be used, so when they are gone it will return to normal?

  • Kraken Jaws 10.3 years ago

@PlanesOfOld It was blooming frightening! you CRAZY mad scientist! :)

  • What is your opinion on modding? 10.3 years ago

@Viper28 I would mirror some thing that @WalrusAircraft said. in addition, and on a totally personal level. I find the challenge that modded engines (pretty much the only part I use, along with modded fuel to cope, and for balance) present to be a really thoughtful process, one that has totally shaped the way my planes look. Everyone always sees a mass of spikes on my planes, and although I thoroughly enjoy the aestheticism this brings, I cant forget WHY i ended up doing this. I found that the only way, that satisfied my ambition of real control (in particular pitch) at incredible speeds was to develop a wing structure that could cope with it and still provide results. you will notice almost all of my planes feature a diamond like tail section at the rear providing pitch. This was borne out of total necessity, as any normal wing (assuming i don't use detachers) would never cope with the amount of stress that putting a control surface into the air at that speed would impart. So I owe modded engines a lot of design creations purely with them forcing me and many others to rethink the game and what our creations can cope with. At this juncture we come back to WalrusAircraft's point of the game reaching a "creative" lifespan, for me modding added a whole new level of complexity and re thinking that otherwise would be lacking. Ontop of that, I feel that a lot of people feel the game offers so much freedom and creativity, that pushing planes beyond the confines of the "real world" is something that has to be expected given we are ultimately using this as a creative medium; one that thanks to modded parts can now extend to greater reaches of people imagination. I am totally pro anything that will expand / assist / grow this game, we must me all the better for it?... rant over :) all the best

  • Mkenz Aviation P-S100 "Creeper" Fixed 10.3 years ago

@Mkenz Alright buddy, in honesty none of my jest are armed...... BUT, thats not to say there arent on others peoples planes that you can take and save in your subassembly... failing that, the pricinple is simple, its all based around detachers, if you just attach a detecher as it is, it will act as a bomb )i.e. dropping down) and if you attach a fuel cell to it, he presto! if you want a missile, the principle is the same, you just rotate the detacher, so it faces horizontally, and increase the detach force so it flys outwards! have a mess around with it dude! :)
