This would also be handy so that we could turn off activation group 8, leaving our aircraft flying level, and then pilot a drone that is attached to the main aircraft, without altering the trajectory of the main one.
@TheFlyingPlane21 I have a 250 racing FPV quad. It's pretty cool. Never really flown a tricopter, sounds interesting :D. Oh just remembered that it got run over, sorry D:
The whole 'inspect element' thing is so annoying. People at my school change things online, and get really excited, and tell all their friends that they have 'hacked' it, which they all think is so cool and then they just get really complacent and feel superior, I hate it.
@Thefalloutplayr never mind, I found it a couple of weeks ago but was just interested to see what tricks you had up your sleeve auto-location-finding-wise
@Ambarveis The version I posted down there is incomplete, it was made by taking aerial screenshots and saving locations, pairing them up, cruching a few numbers and putting them in photoshop. On that map there is 10/21 islands
@Intencer did you get on the beta? If you've seen what it has I bet you'll be really excited 'cause it adds hinge rotators, which also shrink when you put them on free spin.
@HellFireKoder @TheLatentImage I've never really gone down the designer plugin route before, but I think it would probably be easier to remake the script in C# or JS, using the mod tools interface
@TheLatentImage I'm not sure about how to upload it as a mod, it's just a standalone script that finds your SP folder, and alter the files. I might see what I can do to create an online service.
@TheLatentImage yeah, I'm gifted with the ability to code python. I have quite a good script which auto-detects the Simpleplanes aircraft directory, spews out a list of your aircraft and lets you choose one. Then you choose the output name, and the scale factor and it scales it. As well as the position and scale, it changes the mass, and if it is a jet engine, it changes the power relatively, and the exhaust scale, it also changes the power of props. I quite like scripting, which is why I've made such a big script, I personally find it satisfying.
So you just found and replaced to change all the scales... Later today I'll try to fix the positions and keep all the scales, thanks to the wonderful world of python.
@TheLatentImage you have a good point, bit sometimes I find myself thinking that the simplistic format of the forums is what encourages part of the friendliness seen in the community. I can't help thinking that if we 'parcel the forums into sections' it might be the tipping point of the community.

@kikasshes yes
@Tully2001 by 'scale down by 0.75' do you mean you want the result to be at 25% or 75% scale?
@TheFlyingPlane21 I have a 250 racing FPV quad. It's pretty cool. Never really flown a tricopter, sounds interesting :D. Oh just remembered that it got run over, sorry D:
@PikeovlevPlanes Air superiority? Do that once you figure out which way is left.
Has Andrew seen this yet?
@Tully2001 @GrimMantis @Mod thanks, I never new scaling down (and up) aircraft would get this many points.
umm, devs? Why are we being ignored?
@ThePhantomGuy that belongs to @Seabo14

What's the second amendment? Some American law about guns, is all I heard.
@ThePhantomGuy and since you're going to ask me for a plane that does have them, look here.
@ThePhantomGuy passengers? You just have to download a plane with them on, and add them as a subassembly.
10 upvotes on a suggestion- it's time to call in the devs!
@AndrewGarrison
@PhillipTarpley
@NathanMikesa
@BritishNarwhal No, there would be a 'legacy' version, a bit like the passengers, which is hidden.
@jsaret yep
@Thefalloutplayr never mind, I found it a couple of weeks ago but was just interested to see what tricks you had up your sleeve auto-location-finding-wise
Well it does@Thefalloutplayr
@jsaret that's the spirit!
Is it supposed to explode violently on all physics settings?
@Mod ok
Yes definetly do what @ValtsuAircraftIndustries said. It's so much easier.
@Ambarveis The version I posted down there is incomplete, it was made by taking aerial screenshots and saving locations, pairing them up, cruching a few numbers and putting them in photoshop. On that map there is 10/21 islands
@Dipper ok
@kikasshes oh, OK, thanks
@kikasshes what's that supposed to mean?
@CanofBeans what scale?
@kikasshes the mass scale is the x*y*z scale
I would sign up to the R&D and the beta testers any day, but it seems too good to be true.
@GrimMantis ok
@GrimMantis scale?
@kikasshes yes
@AndrewGarrison that's not the problem. Try firing the the guns.
@Dipper this comment concerns your aircraft, do you give consent to this?
@Tully2001 what size?
I guess this is a bug.
@AndrewGarrison
@PhilipTarpley
@NathanMikeska
!!!
@UnknownNate it's on the list!
@UnknownNate is that this?
@UnknownNate Thanks! Wanna be first on the list?
Well, if you XML mod a piston, the darker bit actually extends out of the base, and hovers in the air. It's quite weird.
@Intencer it will make stuff like this so much easier
Well, I think instead of:
He could say:

@jfriss TheLatentImage did a 1/3 scale of every part.

@TheLatentImage it is the simplest math I've ever done
