@BlackhattAircraft Daring like your "Radio Flyer" . My PZL was an opportunity to start something, it wasn't a good replica but a practice on how the things in SP works. I was sad when "brave surfer" did not get more votes than the PZL but i had more fun making it. Now i almost never fly the PZL.

  • AlienIndustries AL-06 Tipaklong 6.1 years ago

Flying with it is a fantastic experience. The vibration and the panoramic view make it exciting. I think the game needs more models like this and not boring replicas. Congratulations.

  • Magnus Aircraft 6.1 years ago

Ok i tried something similar few days ago, but sadly the game can not simulate flow, so we can not create thrust from the rotation, with out the moving parts act like a gyroscope. If you like you can check the plane Water+Fan-wing. Fan wings are the future in stol uav.

  • The Smartbird 6.1 years ago

Very good, because the flapping motion is damaging the fuselage, you can disable the aircraft collisions in the wings. I always like innovation in designs keep up the good work!

  • A Question for the SimplePlanes Community 6.1 years ago

    1) By accident
    2) Always liked the concept of flight and I am a scientist who has the opportunity to apply it outside of my usual field. So I guess is Fun?
    3) I only made 5 planes. But I thing the best word winch I choose to describe them -for now or the future- is innovation.
    4) Sorry I am here only a month...
    5) Viper is coming from the movie "top gun" (that instructor who was friend with Maverick's father) and the second part from a VERY old space sim.

  • Simple Gyrothopter 6.1 years ago

    cool

  • Supermarine Spitfire Mk. IIa 6.1 years ago

@logizAircrafts Spitfires are classic you never can not go wrong with this plane ! Do not get bothered by the slight roll, it is a matter that is tantalizing many people on the site. somewhere there may be an extra bit of copy and it takes you weeks to find it. I think it's best to look for it with x-ray mod. Ηowever, in my opinion you have done a very good job, it could easily pass as a racing plane.
P.S) If you want to change more the sound of the engine, an idea is to add a small jet and the usual prop. Again congratulations, keep up the good work !

  • Brave-Surfer 6.1 years ago

@EagleRider you are very kind, it is auto recovering at 48mph. I haven't measured the glide ratio but it is interesting because it changes as power turns on. Be careful when the engines stop at max Speed, it has the tenancy to pitch up. Thanks again for the comment and the vote @WaffleCakes Thanks for the spotlight!

  • Water+Fan-Wing 6.1 years ago

@GreatHenry Thank you for the comment and vote. Loved your "First of May".

  • Brave-Surfer 6.1 years ago

@PhilipTarplay Thank you for the vote and congratulations for making a wonderful game who promotes innovation and empirical application for sciences.

  • New designs 6.1 years ago

@BlackhattAircraft Well I was saying it has to do with the way of presentation, also the system with the followers is very important. Rambo has 280+ followers, so can be creative. So do you, you make very good aircrafts! I think you could become more daring ...

  • New designs 6.1 years ago

@BlackhattAircraft I saw a racing car design that was original with about 1000 pieces. Very well designed and detailed and got 3 votes! How many more F-16s can you see and say that are new? @ Minecraftpoweer There are many kinds of replicas, they are voted to some extent almost all. On the contrary, a simple ornithopter will have difficulty in taking 5 votes.

  • New designs 6.1 years ago

@Minecraftpoweer Ah much better. What did you thing about innovative ideas vs replicas.

  • New designs 6.1 years ago

    the correct title is "new"

  • Brave-Surfer 6.1 years ago

@ACEPILOT109 Thanks for the spotlight. Great job with your STOL !

  • Supermarine Spitfire Mk. IIa 6.1 years ago

@logizAircrafts From my mistake I started in the water and I noticed that it floats ! It is a little heavier than the original, so it naturally has less speed that is nevertheless perfect. The flaps work well and the locking of the rear wheel was very clever. However, it has a small turn to the left at takeoff as the original one. I did not notice if the prop was smaller but this way it takes off better. Perhaps because I have a slow PC I would like a smaller roll-rate. Very good work!

  • G-46 Grasshoper 6.1 years ago

It is original. Nice work ! Keep it up

  • PIAGGIO P180 AVANTI 6.1 years ago

@yoshicraze yes me too ! great build :-)

  • Supermarine Spitfire Mk. IIa 6.1 years ago

Very nice, detailed and careful work. I voted the initial and yours .

  • Brave-Surfer 6.1 years ago

@MegaFox It has the same length as a wind-surf board, but it is based in a real ultralight schematic. The true version has very unique stashed biplane propellers witch provide extra thrust without increasing prop mass. SP has limitations as for the things you could do, so props are different, but when you turn off the engines you can discover the true virtue of brave surfer. It is a well balanced glider who can auto level at 50mph (almost) as the original. :-)

  • Water+Fan-Wing 6.1 years ago

@TheAtomicFox I made the other simpler model that a was talking about, you can check it if you like as "Brave-Surfer" . Happy flights !

  • Brave-Surfer 6.1 years ago

@AerialFighterSnakes Oh, no no. We do not have "Noahs" here ! Happy flights :-)

  • Brave-Surfer 6.1 years ago

@shipster Shaka is good name. With this plane and the surfer theme, came all the wave tribe slang. Did you knew that "Noahs" are sharks ? I think they added little color to the description. :-)

  • Brave-Surfer 6.1 years ago

@yoshicraze Thanks for the spotlight, how are you ? @OC3LOT1142 Thanks for the spotlight and the vote, hope to like it.

  • Brave-Surfer 6.1 years ago

@Tang0five Well it is cheaper than a motorbike! In E-bay you can find it for 3900 Euros. All you need after that is passion for flights. :-)

  • Brave-Surfer 6.1 years ago

@Treadmill103 Thanks dear friend, always very kind. Test it through the cockpit. She is more fun that way!

  • F-14 Tomcat v2 6.1 years ago

Thanks. I have some things I'm working on, so it'll take a some time. If you want to see samples you can check my profile. In any case I will not forget to mention you and of course I will make the new aircraft successor to get the points !

  • F-14 Tomcat v2 6.1 years ago

Nice try. Generally it looks simillar and is certainly beautiful. If it had done a little work with custom control surfaces and better weighing would be flawless. Can I improve it a little?

  • Foldable Plane V2.0 6.1 years ago

  • MV - HSC "ACHIALOS" 6.1 years ago

@FlipposMC I was thinking about the collaboration part that you said. Will you like to build a space shuttle? We could make it in two parts, first the supersonic airplane carrier and maybe as successor the shuttle. I have something in mind if you are interested .

  • Water+Fan-Wing 6.1 years ago

@TheAtomicFox Thank you very much. I see lots of entries in your contest! I'm very glad to have participated. Unfortunately if you increase the fan speed by more than 1.5 you will gain more lift, but you will have the problem of self-rotating. The moving parts act like a gyroscope. You can always increase the rotation of the main "engines", but in my opinion the illusion that all parts are spinning at the same speed is spoiled. In any case 205mph is enough for this plane. It takes off at 95 mph...
