Create an extra control surface on the default wing(s), edit it to your liking, and make the type either VTOL or Trim using the Overload mod. To edit it you need to look at the ControlSurface dropdown when you click the arrow at the start screen. Then look for the inputId box and the ajacent box next to it. Click it and edit it to exactly either VTOL or Trim. (note, for the flap to work, the right control surface input should be inverted, the left wing should be left alone).
