Ive seen the one at RAF cosford, I was 13 at the time and would have barely squeezed in. It is a really creepy aircraft to be next to as well you just feel weird when next to it. Anyway nice replica.
you can work default cockpits into basic builds see here: https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/BkVY7h/Copperhead-Civilian-VTOL. I have a few others which work the cockpits in quite well but aren't published. Not a example of my finest work.
@rubbishcraft the P39 was a primarily Russian used American built fighter aircraft, the Russians praised it for its heavy armament which was ideal for ground attack however it was critized by the Americans for not having a supercharger/turbo (I forget which). The was a small batch of P-400s (armed with a 20mm instead of 37mm cannon) trialed at RAF Duxford in England but it lacked the high altitude performance needed in a bomber interceptor so was dropped. That's my knowledge on the P39 hope that its of some help.
@Generalkeath you can do that with about 3000lb worth of bombs, I made a flying bomb (not on my profile im not shamelessly advertising) that can detonate between the carrier and destroyer (using miniguns to detonate) which will sink two ships, im guessing about 6000lb of explosives would destroy all ships.
@PlanesOfOld I got told by my history teacher (im in the uk too) that the T34-85 was German and that Poland was Russia AND that the Vietnam war didn't have tank combat, suffice to say I corrected him.
am I the only one who doesn't tryhard in these contests and just builds something for looks instead of a really thin, engine spammed craft. This is not hate I don't mind if you do im just wondering if anybody else builds planes for these tournaments that aren't utilitarian.
@joeysellers I mean say I was a high rated user (im not but im concerned for them) and I posted a plane, surely some people would spam "OMG PLEZ GIVE ME SPOTLIGHTTZZZZ" in the hope of receiving attention?
@Johndfg Sally B is the plane that played Memphis belle in the movie I got confused between the two aircraft, you are correct there is one in restoration National Museum of the United States Air Force which is the real Memphis belle im thinking of the one based at R.A.F Duxford (sally B) which played the part of Memphis belle in the movie Memphis belle. My bad sorry :P
