@DATBOI12 you can do that by placing your shaped wing and then putting a fuelselage piece on the wing, rotate fuelselage 90° either way, set the height to .25 and edge type "circular" and shape to your desire.

This is just a graphical glitch, just detatch the whole planes from the cockpit and rotate the plane a few times, if it persists try mirroring the other side of the plane or restart the game
@Logotrax do you even know how com works? To screw it up with a tail piece you would need to put 1000+lbs in that piece of fuelselage. And the drage is based on how flat and wide it is, a small cylinder isn't very big or wide. And like @Tully2001 said "it's as ugly as you make it"
