@dubstep if you're on Windows, go to C:\Users[you]\AppData\LocalLow\Jundroo\SimplePlanes\AircraftDesigns. You'll find them in there. Note that AppData is a hidden folder, so if you don't already have those visible, you'll have to select that option to find it. Just note that it's hidden because normally you don't want to edit anything in there, so don't touch anything you don't understand
There's not a whole lot of mods at all right now. Not many people are making them, and those of us that are are still learning how to do a lot of stuff. Anything I make should be available on Android though
@ChaMikey that's alright then, the solution I mentioned will give you that result for the brakes. As for xml modding, if you want to give it a shot, I wrote someone an introductory guide in a couple of the comments in this post. They're spread out, but look for the big headings
I would definitely like to see all of these features, but I'll give you the workarounds that we have so far:
Brakes - I'm assuming you mean airbrakes and not wheel brakes here. You can get an effect like you described by setting your airbrakes to have a throttle input and any activation group of your choice. This means that when you're throttled up, hitting the activation group will make the airbrakes open.
Flaps - these can be mimicked with small wings mounted on rotators. It's a little clumsy, but it works.
Visible airfoils and wing thickness - some people like to use small fuselage sections to thicken and strength their wings. I'm not a fan of it personally, but it is fairly popular.
SIzable propulsion - I don't have a fix for you without xml editing here, but how big were you making your plane that the T2000 wasn't enough? Haha
@Baldovino yeah, I think we both had the same idea. I did try making one with just one wing, and decelerons to get yaw control, but sadly the decelerons didn't work. But yeah, you can connect parts in the xml even if they're nowhere near each other, it lets you make things that float near each other like that. I used the same method for my Triebflugel and Copperbell
Low wing loading is one of the biggest ones. Also getting the size of your control surfaces right - make them as big as they can be without making the plane wobble under pitching.
@MediocrePlanes I'm about to go to sleep, so I can't try it just now, but I would very much like to. If you leave a link here I'll let you know how it gets on against mine and the other quick ones I've seen
@LeoBrasi what to do is remove the cockpit, save the whole rest of it as a subassembly, start a new build, and add the subassembly to that cockpit. That will get around the successor system, and you can upload it unlisted for the contest
The engines have been xml edited to have a higher max thrust. You can do this to any engine, but the VTOL ones are generally preferred because they respond the quickest. It looks like you're on iOS, so you can't make these yourself, but what you can do it save the high-powered engines from other planes in your subassemblies.
@Delphinus chan eil aon chànan gu leòr!
Sorry, I can't speak any Indonesian haha
@CarlosDanger13 dude they can talk in whatever language they like

@Manboy2 you can't really make them round, but putting a really small wing piece on the end like this or this
Do you mean xml edits or actual mods?
@Rohan just to be sure, you know that I meant wing loading and not making the wings physically low on the plane?
Nudge is the greatest thing ever. I changed mine back to the old numpad controls though, habits are hard to break

@Oicraftian nice one! Congrats on being the one to take mine out, too
It's meant to be. It controls your RCNs and anything else that you might want to have on by default.
That's the old small prop from v1.1, I think

@AV8R cheers

@Baldovino it's a little tricky to get it going, it's unstable in yaw until around 300mph, but it does work
Not bad at all, it flies pretty nicely
@Baldovino problem solved!
@Jettison only when the tournament starts
@MediocrePlanes well it's the fastest I've seen so far... when it finishes. Nice build dude

@Baldovino I'm an idiot, I'm not sure how I forgot about that hahaha. I'll get back to you on that
@MediocrePlanes I'm about to go to sleep, so I can't try it just now, but I would very much like to. If you leave a link here I'll let you know how it gets on against mine and the other quick ones I've seen
@Liquidfox no worries mate, have fun with it
What system are you playing on? And do you mean that you can't get downloaded planes in to the game at all?
@Liquidfox @TheHappyHellcat version with stronger modded wings
@Liquidfox if I was allowed mods for this, I would just make the wings structural ones. I'll get you an unlisted version like that, hold on
@Liquidfox it seems to be acting up a bit for people, I did test it, but apparently not thoroughly enough haha. I'm glad you like it, though
@Baldovino four parts
I want this to do well just based on how it looks haha. It flies really nicely too
@Sonicjohnbh I've sent your gmail a message, Hangouts is usually the best way to contact me.
@Stingray Thanks Stingray. It's cool to be working together with people on something like this
Focke Rochen
Flettner Plane
any kind of coleopter
I wrote a guide for someone in the comments of this. It's spread across a couple of posts, but it should be ray to spot with the big blue headers
It looks pretty good, I'll try it when it's up
You should post the results of each battle as well

@Dancraft429 there aren't any mods in this one.
@MediocrePlanes I actually wouldn't be too surprised if an unmodded plane won in the end, just by being the only thing to finish every time haha
@bjac0 I feel sorta bad for ruining the contest haha
This is just blatantly stealing my plane to get a Youtuber's attention. That's not on.
@MediocrePlanes well I think it's good... The question will be whether or not it crashes haha

@villulennuk no, Apple's app policy doesn't allow for mods, unfortunately
@LeoBrasi those shouldn't have mattered, but they're gone now just in case. Have you been able to enter?
@ElGatoVolador oh don't you worry, you'll be far from the only one using modded engines hehe
@AtomicCookie02 CST is GMT-6, so it'll be about 4 o'clock here
@LeoBrasi done. Just make sure you credit me in the description or something

@ElGatoVolador yeah, confirmed by the devs as legal
