As @Sharkie said, please use the tags instead of naming your planes for a YouTuber. This was addressed by the devs in a previous post. There is a tag specifically for Jelly, which you can get by clicking the "Edit tags" button next to the screenshot of your plane.
Are you talking about using numerous props inside some kind of casing? If so, that can be done, but it'll be limited to subsonic speeds. The props have some code attached that causes them to stop producing thrust as they approach mach 1.
Jelly is a popular YouTuber that started playing SP, and doesn't seem to have seen the tag system. He encouraged his fans to build planes with his name for him to try, they did, and there was a backlash in the community. Jelly's response to this was to tell his fans to ignore them and keep building "Jelly planes". Hopefully it'll calm down a bit now.
Hi GINGER, I got those edits done on your plane. You can find them here. Sorry again that they took so long.
I remember you said that you didn't want guns because they would be too big, so I've mostly stuck to that. Since the chin guns are a bit bigger on the real one, I figured those could be actual guns. If you would prefer them to be fuselage sections, let me know and I'll fix it.
I hope this is the sort of thing you were looking for, but don't hesitate to tell me if I got something wrong.
Also I don't know if the super shiny glass works on mobile. I hope it does.
@bjac0 @ShatterFox I've certainly never seen a B-2 that looks similar to it on the site. If you know of one, link it, but otherwise this seems to just be an outstanding first post
One very important thing: please explain the actual rules to them as well. There is a place for jelly's fans to get his attention, it's just that it's in the tags instead of the name of their planes. Link them to this dev post and try to be civil. Teach, rather than fight.
@Hadesrocks I don't think there's really anything wrong here. Yes, it's very similar to your original, but there are still clear changes. There's no circumvention of the successor system, and there is acknowledgment that this is an edit of an older build.
@TheMasterSoldier I did see the video. I sent Jelly a PM letting him know about the rules and the tag system, and asking him to let his fans know about this. Whether or not he'll see it or act on it, I don't know.
Picking fights with everyone only makes for a needlessly hostile community. People are allowed to make planes for Jelly, they just need to learn the rules and do it the right way. Hopefully if we can tell Jelly's fans that there is actually a proper way for them to do this, Jelly will also realise and we can get back to normal.
@adosip the best way to make planes for YouTubers is to use that YouTuber's tag. If you click "edit tags" next to the screenshots of your plane, it'll take you to a page where you can select tags. There is one called "YouTube - Jelly" that is specifically for planes for Jelly.
@oOHexaCube7Oo your English is just fine! Certainly better than my German haha. Ich kann ein kleines bisschen Deutsch sprechen, aber ich habe meistens vergessen :(
@oOHexaCube7Oo don't worry, I'm not meaning to have a go at you or anything, just being safe! If you click the little arrow next to the download counter, there's an option for "edit". Thanks
Best thing to do is link them to this post by Andrew Garrison and explain that they should use the tags instead. It worked for all the other YouTubers, it'll work here too
Hi oOHexaCube7Oo. Just in case you didn't know, please don't name planes for YouTubers. I know you've got a sort of hybrid thing going on here, but it would be good if you could rename it. Glad to see the tags in use, though, that is what they're for after all
@Himynameiswalrus enforces the rules of the site, basically. We deal with any planes or posts that get reported, and any other rule breaking. We have some options to remove or edit anything breaking said rules, and also to warn or ban people that persistently cause trouble
@TheBO3Fox it's totally fine to be a Jelly fan, and also to make planes for him. Just make sure you follow the rules about not naming planes for Youtuber's all it's all good! Use the tags instead, that's what they're for
@DanLuq29 Jelly is a YouTuber that has started playing SimplePlanes in his videos. Of course, when YouTubers start playing the game, a lot of their fans want their creations to be featured in the videos. This leads them to upload planes titled "for Jelly!" and the like. Now, we've had this problem before with other YouTubers, and the devs implemented the YouTube tags to cut down on the spammy titles. Unfortunately, Jelly and his fans don't seem to know about the tags yet, and Jelly himself is encouraging people to make planes with his name in the title.
@BlueHawk I can't say I'm a fan either. I don't have an issue with that, though, it's easy enough to not watch his videos. His fans just need to follow the same rules as everyone else
@BlueHawk popular YouTubers Jelly has started playing SimplePlanes, and this has been accompanied by the normal wave of fans naming their planes for his attention. Normally this would just be a case of telling them to use the YouTube - Jelly tag, but some people got in to arguments instead. Jelly proceeded to fuel the flames in one of his videos by telling his followers to keep making "Jelly planes".
@WalrusAircraft no worries, let me know if anything good comes of it. We were mostly just looking at Blender because it's free, I'm not really a fan of it, but any progress if good
Hi Walrus, I was just wondering if you ever had any luck with the whole exporting planes to CAD idea? Nick and I tried a few things with no luck, but scripting Blender to read the .xml files and make parts based on that is looking promising.
@LordieLol okay so the biggest thing I'd say you need to get to grips with is fuselage sections. I know they seem sorta intimidating at first, but the amount of control and freedom they give you when building cannot be overstated. I rebuilt your plane from fuselage section (trying to keep the looks as close as possible) here. This version also flies pretty nicely, so feel free to take it for a spin.
This one didn't fly too well for a few reasons. Firstly, the CoM and CoL were really fair apart. Fixing this is one of the best things about fuselage sections, because they let you put fuel basically anywhere. In the fixed version, I added a load of fuel near the back to get the plane balanced out a bit more nicely.
Secondly, pitch surfaces. Pitch surfaces should usually go on the stabilisers (or canards if your plane has them). They can't work very well on the main wing because they're really close to the CoM, so they have no leverage. I moved them to the stabilisers to sort this.
The only other thing I'd mention is that you somehow had about nine cockpits mixed in there, I'm not sure how you did that haha.
But yeah, I'm not trying to be mean or overly critical or anything, I promise! I just want to help you build the planes you want to build. Feel free to ask questions.

@GINGER01 oh, happy birthday! I'm glad you like it

Also welcome back!

@ShatterFox what what what. I need to be sensible sometimes
@Wildblueyonder578 I have literally never seen that error, I'm afraid. You seem to be playing on iOS, though, which doesn't support mods
Source (middle right)
@Hadesrocks no worries mate
@JacobHardy64 cheers dude, I appreciate the sentiment. Sorry for not responding on Andrew Garrison's post, there were just a few too many people haha
@Hadesrocks I'm sorry dude, there's still nothing wrong with this. The successor system exists for a reason.
@Gg1234 it's alright, no apology needed. I just don't want to see more drama than is needed, and this seems like the best way to sort it all

Also the report function works best ;)

@TehDuck oh sweet, I'll try this out

@Thefalloutplayr ah yeah, sure
@oOHexaCube7Oo ahh thanks, I'll try to remember that!
@Thefalloutplayr what's up?
@oOHexaCube7Oo your English is just fine! Certainly better than my German haha. Ich kann ein kleines bisschen Deutsch sprechen, aber ich habe meistens vergessen :(
@oOHexaCube7Oo how about the exact plane taken straight from the game?
@oOHexaCube7Oo don't worry, I'm not meaning to have a go at you or anything, just being safe! If you click the little arrow next to the download counter, there's an option for "edit". Thanks

@AgDynamics banned.

Hi BlooperDrooper. Just to let you know about the rules regarding YouTubers: don't name planes for YouTubers, use the tags instead. I've fixed this for you here.
@Supercraft888 it's weird for me too
@AMDpwnedU Jelly is a YouTuber that is seemingly unaware of the tag system, and as a result has encouraged his fans to make planes named for him
@Himynameiswalrus enforces the rules of the site, basically. We deal with any planes or posts that get reported, and any other rule breaking. We have some options to remove or edit anything breaking said rules, and also to warn or ban people that persistently cause trouble
@Luke92778 but I haven't made an AT-AT hahaha
@Stampede I'm afraid I still need to say no, with all due respect. I upload too infrequently, and now have bonus responsibilities after all
@Himynameiswalrus thanks!

Fuselage blocks can't provide lift... but you can hide wings inside them! Rotators for control works fine
@RocketLL I only had it because I was sending it to someone on YouTube just a moment ago hahaha
@RocketLL maybe include a link to the dev post a month ago regarding YouTubers? This 'un
@OtterOfToast group 8 is automatically on, if that solves your problem. Can't do anything about the 50% thrust thing, though
@MediocrePlanes heh, nothing certain yet. Thank you though. I'm just curious about how you wound up here hahaha
I couldn't get the VTOL to work without flipping the plane over, am I doing something wrong?
@WalrusAircraft no worries, let me know if anything good comes of it. We were mostly just looking at Blender because it's free, I'm not really a fan of it, but any progress if good
@laSoul I've gotta stick with Latios personally, I won't give up Dragon Dance for anything hahaha
Heh, I don't think I've ever seen any pokemon on here before, and now the first one I see is brilliantly done!
Hi Walrus, I was just wondering if you ever had any luck with the whole exporting planes to CAD idea? Nick and I tried a few things with no luck, but scripting Blender to read the .xml files and make parts based on that is looking promising.
@Pundalemon thanks for the vote
@AndrewGarrison I'll need to think about it, but I'll be sure to get back to you today
