@LeoBrasi what to do is remove the cockpit, save the whole rest of it as a subassembly, start a new build, and add the subassembly to that cockpit. That will get around the successor system, and you can upload it unlisted for the contest
The engines have been xml edited to have a higher max thrust. You can do this to any engine, but the VTOL ones are generally preferred because they respond the quickest. It looks like you're on iOS, so you can't make these yourself, but what you can do it save the high-powered engines from other planes in your subassemblies.
@CDUflappy yeah man, if you get it up and running, I'll link people to it whenever I see a post like that. I'll just post everything that I want to build but don't have time for hahaha
@LeoBrasi here you go. I also messed with the colours but obviously you can change those to whatever you want haha. Try to understand all the changes I made, they're pretty useful in most planes
@LeoBrasi either attach engines to a rotator, or use a VTOL engine. Probably best not to do it on this one, though, make sure you learn about regular control first haha
@LeoBrasi that's alright, either can work just fine. Do the best you can, and then upload another unlisted version. I'll make some final tweaks and explain what I changed for you.
@ONóordico hahaha, I'm glad you like it so much! Just a quick note, by the way, nobody can see your profile because the SimplePlanes website doesn't work with accents above letters properly.
@LeoBrasi yeah. You can move the CoL and CoM closer together (should be easy, just start removing fuel from the front); you can increase the size of the wings; you can increase the size of the pitch surfaces (as long as it doesn't start getting unsteady); you could even add something like thrust vectoring if you want. Just to make sure, have you removed the pitch surfaces from the main wings?
@LeoBrasi I only moved the CoM and CoL, I left the rest for you to try. To get the first one to take off, remove the pitch surfaces from the main wings and invert the ones on the canards, that should do it. To stop them spinning out once they're in the air, they need vertical stabilisers, so add one or two of those and you should be good to go.
@LeoBrasi alright, well they're both done mostly the same way. Take all the dead weight out (all of it, seriously), and put fuel in every fuselage block that's ahead of the CoM, even the small ones. After that, reshape the wings to what you see there.
Also, putting pitch surfaces on the main wings doesn't usually work very well, because they're too close to the CoM. It's best to put them on the stabilisers, no matter whether you're using normal stabilisers or canards.
@LeoBrasi ahh okay, forward-swept wings make this happen quite a lot. Adding fuel to all of the fuselage sections at the front nearly moves the CoM forward far enough. If we move the wings back or add a couple of horizontal stabilisers at the back, that should do the job. Which would you prefer?
Using dead weight to do it is nearly always a bad idea, it's best to use fuel or move the wings about. Upload it unlisted, though, and I'll take a look
It looks pretty good, I'll try it when it's up
You should post the results of each battle as well

@Dancraft429 there aren't any mods in this one.
@MediocrePlanes I actually wouldn't be too surprised if an unmodded plane won in the end, just by being the only thing to finish every time haha
@bjac0 I feel sorta bad for ruining the contest haha
This is just blatantly stealing my plane to get a Youtuber's attention. That's not on.
@MediocrePlanes well I think it's good... The question will be whether or not it crashes haha

@villulennuk no, Apple's app policy doesn't allow for mods, unfortunately
@LeoBrasi those shouldn't have mattered, but they're gone now just in case. Have you been able to enter?
@ElGatoVolador oh don't you worry, you'll be far from the only one using modded engines hehe
@AtomicCookie02 CST is GMT-6, so it'll be about 4 o'clock here
@LeoBrasi done. Just make sure you credit me in the description or something

@ElGatoVolador yeah, confirmed by the devs as legal
@Flightsonic 1 block = 0.5m
@CDUflappy yeah man, if you get it up and running, I'll link people to it whenever I see a post like that. I'll just post everything that I want to build but don't have time for hahaha
Is this forum likely to be separate from the SP website? I'd definitely contribute to that, I have far more ideas for builds than time to do them
@Ngoat Oceanview Speedway starts on a runway, so you will need landing gear
@Exumer yeah, Andrew said they were fine
@JetstreamAeroEngineering pfft coward.
@HakkeAirTech don't be too jealous, working out those wings sucked hahaha. Thanks for the vote, by the way
@JetstreamAeroEngineering dude if they pair them up in the order they were submitted, we'll be going against each other in the first round hahaha
@MediocrePlanes it's Oceanview, it's basically a licence to get as much engine power as possible going hahaha
@JetstreamAeroEngineering LET'S DO THIIIIIIIS
Are modded engines allowed?
@LeoBrasi sweet, glad you like it
Dude you're on PC, you should get the actual smoke trails mod! It's cool, I promise
The "share aircraft" button at the top of the left-hand menu in the builder
@LeoBrasi here you go. I also messed with the colours but obviously you can change those to whatever you want haha. Try to understand all the changes I made, they're pretty useful in most planes

Attack/Reconnaisance... Mech?
Good luck recovering dude, we'll miss your builds
@LeoBrasi canards, and normal stabilisers
@LeoBrasi I'll upload those two so you can see
@LeoBrasi it's alright, if you have problems just post here and tag me again

I'd recommend using the VTOL nozzles for steering, whatever you're using just now is struggling. It looks cool, though
@LeoBrasi honestly either can work just fine. This game lets you get away with nearly anything hahaha. Neither of these have any dead weight in them.
@TehDuck I shall test in just a moment!

Actually one of the most effective walkers on here
