I think that tracks would be too much considering this is a "plane" game, not saying that there should only be planes but like I totally agree with you they should really do a ground vehicle update. However, the only things I think that might happen would be armor, 360 rotator, and maybe a bomb bay.
I did this once and I only ended up making a huge tower of explosions instead of them hitting the ground, probably due to speed or the bomb size but still.
I don't know but I can send you a funky trees guide link if you think that'd help. If your pretty decent with XML modding then you should be able to understand it better than I did

I removed the VTOL flaps to make place for the VTOL missiles, I also rearranged a lot of the body, redid the cockpit, took away the whit because it looked bad to me (just my opinion). I replaced the back engine lights with actual lights and made them blink fast, xml modded parts including the engine to make it faster, and a few other things.

It should say wing-3 or wing-1 or something like that, just change it to wing-2
Change the wing type to 2 in the XML modder
