    Hmm...

  • Light Spear 4.5 years ago

Also, thanks to JBM713 for inspiring the canard.

  • Cool thing 4.5 years ago

@JMB713, sorry for essentially rejecting your design as my final product of this aircraft is a canard design. I just wanted you to know that your idea was a large part of what my aircraft is now due to the fact that the aircraft, which I now call “light spear,” looks really cool with the canard, thank you for understanding.

  • Horizor 3 (100 downloads in 24 hours!) 4.5 years ago

Cool, is this a glider irl?

  • Light Spear 4.5 years ago

Thank you all for your support and for spotlighting me, I really appreciate it.

  • Aerobatics Glider, inspired by PlaneBoy3's glider 4.5 years ago

Nice plane! I never would have expected my sample glider to turn into something this professional.

  • Sailplane with Tow Plane 4.5 years ago

Cool! Thanks for upvoting and actually technically it is a stick, but what I did was I made floppy hinge rotators and then attached the “rope” to them so that way it could pivot. @JonathanElst

  • Yeah this one 4.5 years ago

Thanks fam, rly appreciate your hard work.@Sadboye12

  • Help! 4.5 years ago

Sure, let’s say the heck with physics. No really needs gravity anyways.@Sadboye12 but wait, I changed the wing shape, so unless you’ve already fixed it, is it possible to do it on this plane: https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/gmmOl0/Yeah-this-one

No worries, I bet control surfaces does have at least a bit to do with it. @Randomed

  • Cool thing 4.5 years ago

Thanks, I really appreciate it, although sadly you are right, I wasn’t really going for a canard design, but thanks anyways!

  • Help! 4.5 years ago

    Didn’t think so.@Sadboye12

  • AFT-F01 Freccia 4.5 years ago

  • Sailplane with Tow Plane 4.5 years ago

@JonathanElst, what do you think, is this even close to realism?

  • Try this. 4.5 years ago

See, that fuselage piece helps out a lot. I just changed the shape of the fuselage and re-shaped the wings. @Oofsoda

  • Sailplane with Tow Plane 4.5 years ago

Although technically the tow plane has an engine so I would recommend a cleaver powered aircraft. :/@Sadboye12

  • Motor glider without tail 4.5 years ago

Very cool, love the shape of the wing and the winglets. And in addition to all of that, it flies great. Nice job.

  • Sailplane with Tow Plane 4.5 years ago

Holy crap! I forgot to tell you guys how to detach! Ok so I would recommend putting it in auto pilot first, then pressing AG1. Sorry.

  • Try this. 4.5 years ago

    Good for you. @Yeet1234

    @Oofsoda here try this.

    No problem! @Trainzo

  • Kalinin K16 4.5 years ago

Nice job! It flys just as good as it looks.

  • My first glider 4.5 years ago

It flies great! The only two things I would change would to increase the wingspan and use the fuselage piece, here take a look at mine: https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/VfnF87/Powered-Sailplane
Nice job! Btw I play on iOS too.

  • Grob G-103 twin astir II (with retractable engine) 4.5 years ago

Nice! And I think in the U.S. you can solo at 14 but they recommend to start flying at 12-13 so that may be me soon. Congratulations on your license. @JonathanElst

    @JaycoCat, anything else?

  • Help, sort of. 4.5 years ago

Ok, thank you for clarifying @JaycoCat.

  • Help, sort of. 4.5 years ago

Thanks @JaycoCat! That really does help, I’ll take your advice into consideration, although I do have one question, are custom ailerons and flaps required? Or can I just keep the ones on the stock wings and it will be fine?

There is almost nothing I can complain about this aircraft, very well done. Extremely realistic and a breeze to fly, I could not have been happier with this build. Nice job.

  • Grob G-103 twin astir II (with retractable engine) 4.5 years ago

No, sadly I am underage although I plan to become one as my current future career is to be an aircraft designer. And I thought if I were to design stuff, I should learn the basics. Thanks for asking! @JonathanElst
