    We intended to take it out of beta with this release, however there is a bit more we would like to do with it before then, so we are holding off. I'm currently doing some work related to it. Ideally, you will hear some news about it in 2 - 4 weeks.

    @BRuthless Wasn't sure that asset pack even made it in that last build... Guess you found it. There have definitely been some updates/fixes to it that will be in the next build. The main purpose of that is to allow players to load up placeholders for the islands so they can add stuff to them in mods without the need for guesswork and trial & error when it comes to where exactly to place stuff.

    @Sauce If and when we get convoy's added to the mod tools, then yes, they work off of waypoints.

    I suspect 5.3.4p1 should work (anything after 5.3 really), but if you encounter any problems, I always recommend trying the same version we are using, which is 5.3.6p1.

     

    The convoy game objects didn't make the cut for the mod tools... I ran out of time and we didn't want to hold back the release. Hopefully we will get them in there in the future.

    @Dimkal What do you mean by it 'has to be bound to a control key'? That input was put in there for gamepad/joystick users. I'm guessing most mouse/keyboard users would have no need for it. Curious how specifically you are using it.

    I'm guessing you have the 'Activate Camera Look' control bound to a key or gamepad button. The only way to avoid the issue for now is to unbind that input. If there is no keybinding for it, zoom should work as you expect. I'm investigating if there is anything we can do, not sure yet.

    @YuukaNeko Removed on grounds of being overly dramatic... Just kidding.. you are free to discuss the system and its failings all you want but calling out specific users and speaking negatively of them is considered harassment, which we do not tolerate. There is no need to start witch hunts or cast stones at other users (or former users). If you cannot discuss a topic without being negative towards other players (whether calling them out directly or via obvious unspoken connections), then there is no place for that topic on this site. If you have problems with a specific user that you need addressed, you can talk to us directly through the 'Contact' link at the bottom of the page.

     

    We don't like having to issue warnings and bans to our users but we will enforce the site rules when they are broken. We take harassment very seriously.

    We clearly stated that posts of this nature would not be tolerated when we rolled out the new blocking feature.

    We will not tolerate any form of retaliation in response to being blocked. Do not post about it, comment about it, or try to circumvent the block to contact that player again. If you have been blocked, be a better person and simply move on with your life.

    @TTHHSSSS consider this a warning. Next infraction will result in a ban.

     

    Being blocked by a user in no way hampers your ability to enjoy the game or this site. If someone blocks you, forget about it and move on. It is every player's right to block whomever they wish for whatever reasons they wish.

     

    Furthermore, many of the comments in this post are considered harassment towards another player and that too is not tolerated. I'm am taking down some notes, so for those taking part in this harassment, consider yourselves warned (you all know who you are).

    @Gestour I don't think we can hand out the islands because some of the textures used might be from paid asset packs. If you want to add to the islands though you can still do so via a map plugin. If you want to load existing islands up in custom maps, you can load the prefabs via a call to Resources.Load() if you know the prefab path (we can provide those, just ask). Mobile users don't have some of those resources available though (like maywar).

    @Gestour I'm not sick of you! Always glad to help (sorry I'm not doing a better job). Didn't tag me in that last question so I never seen it. Sorry. As for Android Studio, it looks like I have version 1.4. You should not need the NDK unless trying to use IL2CPP (which is not default and you should not be doing for and SP Android mod).

    @Gestour I think i set up my Android SDK through Android Studio. It tells me that I have the following.

    • Platforms: Android 6.0
    • SDK Build Tools: 24.4.0
    • SDK Platform Tools: 23.1.0 rc1
    • Android Support Repository: 22.0.0
    • Google Repository: 22.0.0

    Hmmm..... If you create new empty project (without the mod tools) and try to build for Android, does that fail? I just tested things out locally and an empty map is building just fine for me (windows and android).

    @Gestour Hmmm... not sure. Do you have any special assets or plugins in your project? Maybe you have the wrong or outdated android SDK? Not sure about the SDK version but I'm using java jdk1.7.0_79. If you want to zip up your project and provide me a link to download it, I'd be happy to take a look.

    @Gestour Oh man... I didn't realize until you pointed it out but the modding wiki was out of date. I just updated it. Really sorry about that. As of the last major update, the recommended version of Unity is 5.3.4p1. I am surprised the windows builds weren't giving you any trouble...

    Mainly just some bug fixes and minor performance enhancements. I don't have a full list handy, it would take a while to figure it out (our last round of releases was pretty chaotic...)

    @Gestour SimplePlanes is just using the build in gravity of the physics engine: https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/Physics-gravity.html. You could modify that, or if you wanted to do something more complex, you could set it to zero and have a custom script that manually applies gravitational acceleration to all the rigid bodies in the aircraft.

    You can accomplish the blank line with a couple new lines, then "& n b s p ;" without the quotes or the spaces between characters, followed by a couple more new lines.

    @Gestour I think those are the Unity Standard Assets. If you don't already have them installed, you should be able to download the Unity 'Standard Assets' package from the asset store (its free).

    @JTM55 The water on PC will most likely never come to mobile. We have done some testing before and most devices we tried had trouble rendering it correctly... and that is before we even start considering performance, which is certainly non-trivial when it comes to reflective water. Sorry...
