Did you ever get this to work? I tried a few times in various ways and I’ve been trying the same thing with VTOL engines now but it just doesn’t look good. How is yours?
Dude this is awesome! You made it look good and fly well. One thing I would recommend is to put the landing gear right behind the CoM. That way taking off will be both easier and feel more realistic. It will also have a much lower takeoff speed
@Posadas I completely understand what you mean. I started playing this game in 2013 or 2014 and it took me forever to get the hang of it too. If you want any tips or tricks on how to make planes that look good perform realistically as well feel free to ask! I don’t upload anymore but I’m constantly making new aircraft and they fly more realistically every time hahaha
This plane looks really cool! Huge jump from what you were making only a few days ago. Did you get any help on it or was it all you? Also while it looks good it’s flight characteristics are “interesting”. I suggest trying to make it fly more like the real thing. Then you’ll have a fantastic build!
@CarrotSlicingCompanyCat @Kangy hey y’all. I’m still playing SimplePlanes but I don’t really upload anymore. I felt that every time I uploaded I had to make the plane better than the one before and it started to take out some of the fun. I’ve made lots of cool and fun stuff though I can show you in unlisted posts if you’d like :)
@Tang0five I was actually looking at how you made them. I’ve been trying to make nice swept back wings for a while but I always end up going back to one large half circular front section with pointy flaps and ailerons at the back hahaha. Nice work though!
To remove it entirely, you have to add a new part connection between the tips of the wings to the end of the fuselage part you used to make the wings look better
For each aircraft it will be slightly different. What is usually good to do is find a real aircraft with similar performance and characteristics to what you are making. Then make the engines have the same thrust as that and reduce your drag points until it has similar performance as the real aircraft :)
This is one of my favourite aircraft I’ve seen on here in a while. It looks fantastic and flies really well too. What could make it perform more realistically (real acceleration, energy loss/retention, climb rate, and airspeed) is by lowering the engine power to 1 and reducing the drag points to roughly 1100. It takes only a few minutes and it makes this thing fly similar to a BAC Strikemaster or Cessna tweet
Nice to see some of the pros from SimpleRockets2 come here finally. Will we get a button to copy both individual parts and groups of parts on mobile as well?
Looks excellent and flies pretty well. Is there a problem with the ailerons though? I’m not so well versed in this aircraft so maybe it’s just my ignorance.
This is one of the best F-84s I’ve seen on SP! I have an abandoned build of one of these that I feel the need to finish now. The flight characteristics of yours are great (especially the relatively low acceleration and long takeoff roll) but it could bleed off more energy when in a high G turn, especially while climbing. Overall though this is magnificent. Great work!
Looks cool but flight characteristics could be much better. The wing parts that you scaled down should have the aileron sections closer to the tip of the wings so that you don’t continue to roll after you stop inputting that command. There is also an enormous number of drag points which, together with the low wing area you gave the area, give it a bad glide ratio. Give it more wing area, distributed evenly throughout the wing, then reduce the drag points and you’ll have a nice flying aircraft
Decent looking plane but, as you said, it’s flying isn’t great. What will help is removing the pitch control surface in the main wing. This will make it manoeuvre more like a real aeroplane. When it also comes to the cosmetic side of the plane, the stabilisers and engine exhaust lines up too much. If this were a real aircraft, the exhaust (especially with afterburner on) would damage or destroy the stabiliser and elevators. Overall though cool plane!

You got it now!
@PakPuma75 congrats on silver!
@PakPuma75 no problem :) Take a look at how it’s done on real planes. You’ll see the rear wheels are much further than often expected
You make some amazing looking aircraft! Nice concepts. From the back while flying, this feels a little like an F-14 with the wings swept back

@PakPuma75 hahaha that’s true. He hasn’t learnt the method of how to remove the original post credit yet 😂
Why does it wobble the way it does?
I love your taste in planes
Love the lightning!
@TheFlyingWolfYT cool MiG!
@TheFlyingWolfYT sure but still low effort
Best song @Sparky6004
@Hedero One of the best comments I’ve ever seen 😂

Apart from the copy pasted hud, I’m not sure there were many improvements lol

@lxnylx hey buddy! Sorry for my super late reply but I remember you!

No one said it would have been hahaha @Gramgramofficial
Better late than never :)
@SilverStar I keep losing track of which funkytrees guide to follow. Thanks for that!
@SilverStar I’ve been working with that so far. Is there also a way to make it activate based on g force?
Love me some MiG-15s that exceed mach 1 in a climb
@FeatherWing thanks for this! Maybe it’ll make it work

HobbyMaster is one of my wallets biggest enemies
@JuanNotAnAlt have we talked before?
I saw a yacht that looked similar to this while on holiday is Croatia. It was owned by Joe Lewis I think and had a full sized tennis court inside.

Just so confused
Pretty cool build :)
Pretty nice!

Lovely work! I think you mean gen z though since gen x is in their 50s ;)

Nice! Why would this be click bait?

@GuyFolk that’s pretty cool! Didn’t expect that from this aircraft at all
Looks excellent and flies pretty well. Is there a problem with the ailerons though? I’m not so well versed in this aircraft so maybe it’s just my ignorance.
This is perfect. Beautiful build

@AnIndonesianPanzer I just made a few changes. Took me only 10 or so minutes. I uploaded it unlisted and tagged you so you can see it :)
@SussyBreadBoi haha I sent this before I messaged you there
@BreadDoBeKindaSus hey buddy! It’s been ages. I haven’t been on SimplePlanes for quite a while. I’m doing good though. What about you?
@AnIndonesianPanzer if you’d like I can fix it up for you so that it flies well but still looks almost exactly the same

@IceCraft what do you mean?
This is really great! I wish we could just copy over builds from SimplePlanes to SimpleRockets2
