@BombsAway4613 I asked him how he would determine who would win when it comes to one group of vehicles engaging another. He said him and another user would determine some sort of score for them based on their experience using them. So it will include how well it’s made and how effective it is. Probably also how much it fits the rules. He explained this in a comment when I asked about how this will work since on SP, you can’t really simulate a battle between two sides with lots of vehicles

  • Kormad Class PT Boat 2.0 years ago

@BombsAway4613 oh I thought the OP for the challenge told me that the vehicles would have a score set to them depending on how well they’re made. This score is what determines whose military is best I think but I could be completely confused hahaha

  • Kormad Class PT Boat 2.0 years ago

@BombsAway4613 well in that case just have the score of the builds reflect that. I ran a challenge once and it was supposed to be naval aircraft for 1945-1950. People kept building things like phantoms or crusaders so I’d just give them a super low score. Simple

  • Fixed Mystère IVA 2.0 years ago

@Darkmoon I’ll also give you a spotlight the next time you post again so just tag me in it :)

  • Fixed Mystère IVA 2.0 years ago

@Darkmoon Something like this is what I’ve made but it was different to what I’m saying. So a post with a little text and then a couple photos of your build and put the word “teaser” in the title. Let it sit there for a couple days and then post it. Then also a day after you post, make a forum post about your plane too. Always put a link back to your build too

  • F-10 V2 2.0 years ago

    Nice!

  • Katalyst MLRS 2.0 years ago

@Yourlocalhuman I have increased in knowledge. ngl it’s a game changer, I used to just put a tiny boom 50 on the rockets so they’d have to drop but this is way easier. I did start that before I had access to XML myself though so I never really thought about it and just continued until now

  • Kormad Class PT Boat 2.0 years ago

@BombsAway4613 why don’t you ask the OP of the challenge about that? Seems unfair if you’re the only one following the rules

  • Katalyst MLRS 2.0 years ago

Today I learnt that, obviously, you can change the burn time of a rocket to make it have a ballistic trajectory

  • Stratolaunch 2.0 years ago

It just made its 11th flight recently right?

  • Kormad Class PT Boat 2.0 years ago

@BombsAway4613 oh it does? Many of the other builds entered have auto-aiming for the machine guns and I think one is from someone who is helping out with the challenge

  • Suggestion: Game Verification 2.0 years ago

Wait I havent noticed the bot posting. What kind of stuff do they put in the forums?

  • A-20B Ringing Death 2.0 years ago

@FrostyAirlines you can make them that long while still aiming towards the airflow

  • A-20B Ringing Death 2.0 years ago

Not too bad! A couple things I’d recommend though are that the landing gear is closer to the CoM of the aircraft when it’s empty. Also, the air breaks seem to move the wrong way but maybe that was intentional?

  • Yo anyone need anything 2.0 years ago

@MrCarrot oooh yes! Some meteors, AIM-120 Cs and Ds, GBU-12s, and KEPD.350s would be perfect

  • Yo anyone need anything 2.0 years ago

    @MrCarrot perfect. Thanks bro

  • Yo anyone need anything 2.0 years ago

A few Gripens please. Got a friend who desperately needs them somewhere in eastern Europe

  • Shuttle 2.0 years ago

Whoa! You made this all by yourself?

  • IRAN-ARASH 2 (Geran-3) 2.0 years ago

No worries. Did you make the truck as well?

  • Dassault falcon 900ex 2.0 years ago

    Looks really good!

  • IRAN-ARASH 2 (Geran-3) 2.0 years ago

Well if it’s the longest range suicide drone in the world, I have a hard time believing it’s range is only 2000 meters

  • Flying slice of pizza 2.0 years ago

@SKLV95 try it with sesame seeds. Trust it’s good 😂

  • AF-22 2.0 years ago

    Now that’s one fat raptor

  • K-66 The Russian Flying Wing 2.0 years ago

Now this is terrifying! Very cool build

  • B-20A Aerofortress 2.0 years ago

@Sergio666 thank you very much! I’ve learnt a lot of techniques since I uploaded most of these so maybe I’ll try remaking a few. I have like 20 80% completed builds saved that maybe one day I’ll post to here again hahaha. Feels like a shame to put in all the effort and not upload them

  • GCN Tominov Class Submarine 2.0 years ago

Submarine who does not sub marine?

  • Kormad Class PT Boat 2.0 years ago

This is pretty neat! Fun choice of weapons. Some auto-aiming with the machine gun would have been a nice touch maybe to give some defence against aircraft but other than that really nice simple build

  • Ferdinand Tank Destroyer 2.0 years ago

Wow now that’s an amazing track system. Beautiful build!

  • Hughes_H-1_Racer 2.0 years ago

Wonderful build! I was flying at 306KTAS and quickly googled what the max speed of this aircraft was. Turns out it’s 306KTAS. Pretty funny coincidence!

  • ASK-21 Glid 2.0 years ago

Very nice! Looks pretty good but I think it has too many drag points since the glide ratio seems a little low

  • HMS-Malta (1939) 2.0 years ago

@Hiimakeplanes hmm yeah in that case I’m really not sure. Maybe ask on a forum post?

  • SU-35s -Mage- 2.0 years ago

    @OSEAAirDefenseForce like what parts?

  • HMS-Malta (1939) 2.0 years ago

@Hiimakeplanes I would assume with pistons but I don’t think I’ve ever tried that before. Maybe make the pistons very small and make their range long?

  • HMS-Malta (1939) 2.0 years ago

Very nice! Extremely fun to do anti air with this

  • Gloster Javelin FAW9 2.0 years ago

@Tang0five exactly! Leave it to the Brits to make the perfect blueprint for a mach 2 aircraft unable to break the sound barrier

    In level flight that is

  • Gloster Javelin FAW9 2.0 years ago

@Franch0o1 I love that story of the hellcat drone over California. Absolutely hilarious. I got to speak to an F-89 pilot once and he said it was possibly one of the worst aircraft he ever flew.

  • Dassault Mirage - IIIEA (Simple) 2.0 years ago

@Franch0o1 depends on the model of the mirage I think but if you make an unlisted post with this plane and tag me in it, I’d be happy to help you make it better :)

  • Dassault Mirage - IIIEA (Simple) 2.0 years ago

It looks very good and I can see lots of effort went into it but it kinda flies like a brick. An extremely fast brick. It’s good you didn’t make the plane far too manoeuvrable like most people do but you definitely made it underperform. You can hardly pull any AoA so turning and climbing is very difficult, at both low and high speeds. Also this thing accelerates insanely fast. It’s better to lower the drag points of an aircraft to het a higher max speed than increase the engine power. Engine power will mainly just increase acceleration, fewer drag points will increase max speed. If you have a realistic engine in terms of power and you lower your drag points, you’ll have both a realistic max speed and a realistic acceleration rate. Hope this helps and looking forward to seeing your future builds!

  • f-16 2.0 years ago

Apart from the slats going up, this is amazing! Lovely design and super fun to fly

  • MIK-International mk3 2.0 years ago

Hello, does the G force pitch control limit the AoA to 8 degrees? If yes, how would I increase this? Thanks!

  • 'FH-1' McDonnell FH Phantom 2.0 years ago

@windshifter1 no worries! You made it pretty good but it’s hard to get it correct for high altitude and low altitude with just drag points. I use various air breaks inside the plane which are activated by different aspects of flight. For example, to realistically replicate loss of energy in tight turns, I have an air break that has its input connected to the aircraft’s AoA. This helps a lot to balance having a high max speed and also realistic energy bleed off

  • Lf-32 2.0 years ago

@Neruneten21 like a second main wing behind this one? That would have looked very cool. If I remember correctly, there’s actually a couple real planes like that but I don’t think any were adopted for military service in the end. I’m pretty sure the Germans made a weird one like that in either the 1930s or during WWII

  • Carrier Borne Challenge [CLOSED] 2.0 years ago

Don’t forget to say that planes must be a successor of this one!

  • 'FH-1' McDonnell FH Phantom 2.0 years ago

The one small change I would make is maybe reducing the drag points a tiny bit (maybe 500 only) so that it has a more realistic top speed at low altitude. I know the top speed at 30,000ft is pretty realistic but having good low altitude performance is also fun but this is of course the builder’s choice. Maybe also slightly less powerful engines for more realistic takeoff acceleration and TWR

  • 'FH-1' McDonnell FH Phantom 2.0 years ago

I absolutely love this aircraft! Looks very nice and flies very smoothly. Also doesn’t have the crazy overpowered capabilities most builds have on here. Very well done

  • F-10 2.0 years ago

@egor16k looking forward to seeing what else you build!

  • Lf-32 2.0 years ago

For the size of area of those wings, they are definitely too far back for decent flight characteristics. I would definitely recommend making them either bigger or putting them a lot more forward so they’re closer to the CoM which is very much in the front of the plane

  • F-10 2.0 years ago

Again, this is pretty cool! One small tip, I’d get rid of the elevators at the back and make the canards the elevators like on real aircraft. Make the outboard control surfaces just ailerons for this type of build and if you need, you can add extra elevators closer to the fuselage on the rear wings but I don’t thing it’s necessary

  • plane? 2.0 years ago

On a serious note though this is a neat little build! Flies pretty much how I’d expect something like this to fly. One thing though, maybe either put the rear landing gear further back so that it’s behind the CoM or get rid of the front gear and put a small tail dragger style gear on the back

  • plane? 2.0 years ago

    Yez, plane
