Super well done actually, specially so for just 170 parts or so!
Kinda looks like a couple variants smooshed together: internal M61 Vulcan from the F-4E or F-4F, smaller nose from the US Navy F-4s like the F-4J, engine cowling taper down from the Rolls Royce Spey engines fitted on the F-4M (Phantom FGR.2) and F-4K (Phantom FG.1) with the K's taller nose gear. Canopy is a bit too much of a normal bubble, but it's a pre-made part, makes sense.
Couldn't do much better myself, really good job when it comes to looks!
@rexzion honestly, that would be awesome! A proper suzuka with collisions that don't send you to the stratosphere when you touch grass or that are not slippery like soup if you get your rear wheels off the tarmac... Those two tracks are very cool, but idk, their implementation in game are very odd...

I uploaded this thing like, 6 days ago, but i was busy with studies and a college test to make the description and post it as intended, so sorry it took so long to upload
This car should be VR friendly, and it totally can be driven without that Mod, but it is recommended to use, but if you play exclusively on VR or on Mobile, you can still drive it, albeit a bit worse. If you can, fiddle with the traction settings until you are happy with the steering.
@XtarsTheExdarichGuy33106 its understandable, i would make the maxpart count go to like, 300 or so and weight top out at 2000kg, cause tuning lightweight stuff to be nimble and have a low center of gravity can be a bit of a pain
@32 honestly same, i never thought that would be the cause. I was testing setting by setting and water was it, very interesting. Maybe if the ground got lifted a bit more above the water, it wouldn't glitch out?
@Stealth117 like i said, GT is based on mass production vehicles, the GT40 was a purpose built race car, cope all you want, its true, its not a true GT Racer
@SaabJ29 connected or corrected?
If it was corrected, i realized the issue like, SUPER late on this thing's building process. I had already done almost everything on it, minus the airfoils and stuff, and i was like "i dont have the energy to reajust the placement of these gears when i literally spent a month asking for help on the doors", cause i did need help that took forever lmao
As for connected, i don't know what you meant, i didn't see anything disconnected
After many months, it's a relief being able to finally post it!
Even though it is 100% based on the original Icarus, by all intents and purposes, it's a brand new aircraft. Spent many days and nights thinking about it, even when my lazyness and my addiction to other games hit hard. Overall building it was a great experience and hopefully it marks the quality of builds going further!
I have to apologize for the long description, i like writing a lot of lore for these aircraft, plus it has a lot of controls, quirks to handling and stuff like that, that i had to write there to make sure people that read it will be informed on how to fly it properly, specially the VR players. I would've made all sections collapsible, but i have no idea how, if anyone does, please share it on the comments, you'd be a life saver.
All names mentioned here were made from a name generator. All companies metioned were done so purely for some sense of realism, i don't know if any of those products are real
Some specs do not reflect specs in game for lore reasons
@ChiChiWerx Nah, the Devastator used as anything other than a torpedo bomber irl would've been worse off, it's just that in game it has flight characteristics that probably don't match reality. It's simply a case of game balance slip ups over anything else.
Also, the Devastator cannot be matched with Warhawks, but it can be matched with P-36 Hawks, cause or their differences in Battle Rating.
P.s: why do you speak so formarly?
@ChiChiWerx Yeah, i know the Devastator was very outclassed when WW2 began, specially at Midway, but in the game, it is the first bomber in the US bomber line, at BR 1.0, the lowest you can go. It has decent flight performance, decent energy retention, good roll rate, average climb and turn rate, it's just super slow. It packs one .50cal in the front and a .50cal as the turret, guns thats shred biplanes like the He-51 or Nimrod, and can carry up to 12 100lb bombs, a couple 250lb or 500lb bombs (i don't recall right now) and a large 1000lb bomb or a torpedo (which you probably won't get to use), while also getting custom loadouts so you can mix and match. It can take out multiple strategic targets at once, destroy biplanes and RTB almost safe and sound. It's also super cheap, for purchase, crewing and repairing. It works really well as an impromptu fighter and low altitude bomber, or as CAS, if you take the 100lb bomb.
War Thunder may base stuff after documents, but after all, it's still a game and balance over realism is there to some extent, which means some slip ups happen, so don't expect most vehicles in game to reeaaaallly match their IRL counterparts.
Yooo, i was actually thinking about building one of these!
Personally, i prefer Silent Line, i don't like Last Raven floatier feel to the ACs, but i will beat it later
@XxRxX performance cost isn't calculated purely on parts, in fact, different parts have different performance cost values. This plane features many rotators, hinges and moving parts, parts that have HUGE performance costs compared to others. If it was purely fuselage parts, it would top out at 2000 or 2500
@AlivePan bro, i misread maximum as minimum, no need to be rude. Plus you did not write a maximum payload to be carried (i.e how many missles, bombs, rockets or other ordinance capable of being carried), hence why i asked.

@toorbokkot Yup, totally not a Phantom.... no Phantom here
@TheMouse someone named BaddahMuscleCar001 or something very close to that

This is pathetic bro....
@Graingy hello!
@Eggplant VTOL nozzles
Ok, i see a tree of predecessors that are copies of one original build....
@Seemeing cool to know you are making a F1 car, but i didn't understand the rest of your comment there, i think you missed a word or two
@GrandPrix cool idea on paper,execution would be probably way less than ideal

Weight and part limits are too small, if you wanna make a proper suspension, the go half the parts in the low end

@32 found what the problem is. Water quality needs to be on high, and i always leave it on low
@32 yeah, latest version. Ill attach a screenie and tag on a comment with it ASAP
Ive been having issues with the map ground textures flickering from their original color to black like they were texture clipping. Any idea why?
@ArielthenewSukhoi gotcha
Edit: friend request sent. Cant send you a message cause of that only DMs from friends, option
@ArielthenewSukhoi do you have a discord account? I could help you more there

I didn't even know there was a bug lmao. People shouldn't care tbh, imagine wanting be a niche famous person in a niche internet community
@ArielthenewSukhoi that's some dedication, my guy
@Notnik0foryou2 it looks ugly and outdated lmao

@SaabJ29 oh that, yeah, i agree, couldve been better
@SaabJ29 thanks, but eh, i like the landing gear personally. Best job i did with anything like that
@Dragoranos obrigado!

@gnexes From Software made a series like that since 1997 bro
Go play Armored Core lmao

Nice build, super sexy!

Is there a max weight limit, or max payload allowed?
