Buddy I think your building process is way more advanced than mine. When I make a replica I mostly use pictures and blueprint drawings. Are you saying you could build the coot using only a list of dimensions? I’m starting to think it might be a bad idea for me to attempt to build it, considering how much you love it... I don’t want to mess it up... I’m not trying to be snarky here, but how come you haven’t built one yourself? I mean, you’re a way more skilled builder than I am... @Chancey21
Haha yeah I know what plane I based this on. Are you talking about John Monnett? Do you have a source for this claim about him getting killed in his plane? It’s not that I don’t believe you necessarily, but I tried to look it up and couldn’t find anything about it. @Velocita
Haha makes sense. I’ll definitely tag you first. But I have to say, I started building a little and I’m having a really hard time... the hull/fuselage is just such a complicated shape... I don’t know if I am skilled enough to do it :/ @Chancey21
Honestly man I think I’d like to go ahead with the Henry & Sons with a modern logo. I think that will still be cool. If you still want to do it haha @Chancey21
Thanks man! That really means a lot coming from you :)
How do you make the fuselage parts 0 width? Whenever I type in the zero on the first end it’s fine but on the second one it automatically corrects it to 0.05 or something. Is there a special trick? @Chancey21
Ok. Well let me give it some more thought then. I mean, I’d be down with a modern logo for H&S but also I would defer to your judgement on such things... @Chancey21
I know the flaps are aggressive haha but I think it’s pretty cool that you can fly around 20 feet off the ground at 22mph with a reasonably good amount of control :) @jamesPLANESii
Haha totally! I haven’t watched it enough to recognize specific bots but I do watch YouTube highlights sometimes and I love it!!! What an incredibly great idea. It’s a great way to satisfy that bloodlust like other violent sports, except that no one gets hurt! And also it’s a fantastic marriage of sport fighting/athleticism and something academic (engineering/applied physics). So cool. @AWESOMENESS360
My first thought was “Hi-Hat Designs” you know, like on a drum set? And it sounds like Hyatt. I dunno, maybe that’s dumb... what do you think? @Chancey21
Fantastic! Great suspension, definitely some of the best I’ve seen. I don’t know how the heck you built it but I’m glad you did!
If you’ve got drawings of the coot that you’d care to share, it might give me a boost enough that I might succeed haha @Chancey21
That is very sad :( I’m sorry to hear that. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. @Velocita
Oooh! Have you done drawings of the coot?? @Chancey21
Ok, good idea, I’ll take that apart and see how it’s constructed. It’s fantastic, by the way. @Chancey21
Ok man I’ll try it :/ haha @Chancey21
Looks awesome! Thank you! Now I have to learn how to build it in sp lol. I guess I can probably do it ... @Chancey21

Thank you! :) it is pretty cute isn’t it? Hahaha @ThePrototype

+1Hmmm yeah I guess so @Chancey21
Looks great! I just want black. Can you do a version that just has the letters H&S? @Chancey21
Haha dang I was hoping there would be a bit more... hard to find I guess! Thanks for finding this for me though, this’ll help! @Chancey21
This is a really awesome little plane! Great work man, I love it!
Haha. Agreed. @AWESOMENESS360
What do you mean? @Velocita
Honestly man I think I’d like to go ahead with the Henry & Sons with a modern logo. I think that will still be cool. If you still want to do it haha @Chancey21
Do you happen to know where I could find some blueprint drawings of the coot? I did a quick google and couldn’t find anything... @Chancey21
Oh yeah haha for sure. Same basic layout but fewer cup holders;) @AWESOMENESS360
Thanks for the suggestion!! That is an insanely cool plane!!! Looks tricky... but I guess I can ask you for help if I get stuck haha! @Chancey21
+1Thanks man! That really means a lot coming from you :)

+1Oh haha okay gotcha. Right on man! @XjayIndustrys
Ok. Well let me give it some more thought then. I mean, I’d be down with a modern logo for H&S but also I would defer to your judgement on such things... @Chancey21
Haha. Well it’s still cool! @GenericWhiteGuy
+1Well I’ve already posted a plane with that name... I mean I guess that’s not a big deal. Maybe I should just go with the old school logo? @Chancey21
Ah, ok, I see what you’re saying. Thanks for pointing that out, I’ll work on making my control surfaces more flush on future builds @EternalDarkness
+1Thanks man!!! Yeah it’s simple but I think it’s pretty cool... what’s a tricycle landing? @XjayIndustrys
+1I’m sorry, I don’t understand what you mean by that... :/ can you be a little more specific? @EternalDarkness
+1Thanks! :) @GenericWhiteGuy
Thanks man! That is so cool! @Chancey21
Let’s go with modern @Chancey21
That flamethrower is such a cool idea! Really well executed too, really creative. Great job! I love the landing gear suspension too!!
+1Hmmm. Okay. Maybe something minimal and modern would be better... @Chancey21
I think old school will be better for when I’m building older planes, right? @Chancey21
Wow really interesting design! I totally dig it great job!!
I know the flaps are aggressive haha but I think it’s pretty cool that you can fly around 20 feet off the ground at 22mph with a reasonably good amount of control :) @jamesPLANESii
Haha yeah. I firmed up the suspension a bit on the later version. @jamesPLANESii
:) thank you! @ThePrototype

Sure! Thank you so much! :) @Chancey21
Sounds kinda old-timey, which is good if I’m gonna do early-aircraft replica-type builds @Chancey21
I think I’m gonna go with Henry & Sons Aircraft Company, or H&S AirCo for short @Chancey21
Yeah I know I’m saying it was a great idea to build one in SP. that show is so awesome! @AWESOMENESS360
What an awesome idea! Great job!
My first thought was “Hi-Hat Designs” you know, like on a drum set? And it sounds like Hyatt. I dunno, maybe that’s dumb... what do you think? @Chancey21
Omg thank you that would be amazing! I guess I just need to come up with a name... @Chancey21
Dang, I hadn’t even considered doing that... that’s a great idea! @Chancey21
Please do! :) @Kungfuevan
Wow really awesome design! Great job!
