@Timothy19452022 I think you're confused, I'm still talking about breaking bad mate

  • Gamer Setup 1.3 years ago

@AlbertanPlaneMaker an entry level PC build can run you less than 500 bucks and could probably comfortably play mw2(2) at 40fps or Minecraft at 200+ fps.

  • Gamer Setup 1.3 years ago

@AlbertanPlaneMaker building a PC has better cost to performance than buying a pre built computer.

The hp omen, as a reference goes up to 1800 bucks.

    What you get:

An older Ryzen CPU (Ryzen 7 5800x)

A single fan variant of a Nvidia rtx3060 which is bottom of the barrel for new gen GPU.

16 gb of ram (2/4 channels used)

    Proprietary motherboard.

AIO (all in one, liquid cooler for CPU)

    350w copper rated power supply.

Can probably handle most AAA games on standard settings 40-60 fps

For less than that I built a PC containing:

    Ryzen 9 7950x CPU. (2 generations newer, >40% faster)

Radeon XFX QICK 319 (3070 super equivalent) triple fan. About 20% faster.

64 gb of ram with all 4 channels being utilized. Overclockable and likely run at a higher freq than whatever is in the omen.

Full support motherboard, can take upgrades down the road if you want to swap parts. Also usually more energy efficient and has intuitive tuning and overclocking built in.

    Whatever cooling solution you chose.

750w platinum rated power supply and custom cables.

    Any case of your choice.

Beefy mf can run star citizen at 70fps, that's hard to do.

  • Gamer Setup 1.3 years ago

"gamer" seat with zero ergonomics. Check

    Overly aggressive keyboard design. Check

$2k PC that will never play anything more taxing than Fortnite at 500fps when the monitor does 122. Check.

Bog standard Logitech speakers that will never be used. Check.

Headset that only blares mid tones and bass with in irremovable mic even though you have a BLUE. Check.

    Apple mouse from 2004. Check.

Everything checks out l, this is a gameing setup. Spelt wrong on purpose.

  • USS Zumwalt 1.4 years ago

@Jaspy190 the destroyers size in general is underestimated, it's got plenty of room for ammo. I got to see one while on a dinner cruise and it dwarfed the ship we were on. Imposing as hell and just looking at it it's hard to imagine feeling ok with having even one cannon pointed at you, let alone a damn missile rack and a few cannons. It's ahead of it's time but it's definitely full of potential and probably not too useless considering the main downside is cost, though the military budget annually in the us is still more than what bezos can make in 20 years. I'd give the zumwalt some time to mature and the manufacturing process time to make specialized machines for it. since it was made mostly custom, the cost of manufacturing was insanely high despite the materials in turn being about the same as a normal destroyer vessel. Once the military pulls the pin and decides to start producing a finalized model they'll probably streamline manufacturing and cut the cost in half or more. Main reason for holding off besides cost is because world war3 isn't super bad yet, we're still in just a shouting match with the occasional warcrime, but when shit start popping off for real and we start losing the old destroyers... I bet my only good pair of socks that they'll start producing next gen war machines.

  • It's time for a new name for SimpleRockets 2 1.4 years ago

@MobileGamer21 I don't really see a lack of players in sp, regardless some new content would be nice. Maybe a texture revamp, a way to wrap the text on fuselages and making the hitboxes tighter. Adding more polygons to the blocks and terrain would be nice too since even a bottom tier potato can handle the current game.

Or... Now hear me out, you don't name it that because it sounds like "avengers of clan craft, world war-z, origins" mf mobile game vibes. And stick with Simple rockets-2 because that's what it is.

    First: @CaptainFranchfries :

    •Goals 1-3 completed. 30pts

    •flight characteristics spy: 8.5/10

    •flight characteristics counterspy: 8.5/10

    •attention to detail: 8/10

Final impressions: 22 points: they were a bit hard to balance against each other and had to make concessions in order to even the playing field, however the controls were pretty good and minimal trimming was needed. Once we tuned the crafts In a bit they were very enjoyable to compete with.

    Second:@femboykiller0w0

    • goals 1-3 completed: 30 pts

    •flight characteristics spy: 6.5/10

    •flight characteristics counterspy: 6.5/10

    •Attention to detail: 8.5/10

Final impressions: 24 points: both aircraft were well balanced against each other, the flight was good but both needed trimming. The were very fun to compete with and since they were ready to use without concessions you get extra marks.

    75.5 total.

Since both of you were the only valid contestants, and both got prize places. You both win. Reply to this with how you want to go about the prize payment :)

@CaptainFranchfries yeah there's only you and @femboykiller0w0 who successfully completed the challenge, so basically I just have to figure out which of you is first and second. Me and my friend will be testing them Friday and will probably have our scores by the end of Friday or later in the weekend, depends on work scheduling.

  • Bronco incomplete 1.4 years ago

I recommend tilting the pillars inward about 2 degrees and making the roof less wire to match. You'll notice it on alot of cars, most of them really, including the bronco. They aren't perfectly upright and it's relatively easy to do.

  • my bad cockpit 1.4 years ago

If you want I can make a cockpit tutorial for ya. I'm not very good at video editing so it'll just be in one go.

  • backup-1 1.4 years ago

Ok so it's the flap. Only one hinge is needed per control surface, I removed the left one on the flap and it was fine. Take a look at my Könstflyg-8 for an example. Inside the flaps towards the middle there is a hinge rotator which I shrink down to .2,.2,.2 I believe. It's also nudged into the two parts so they're all flush and look like a real wing would.

  • WT#? 1.4 years ago

@heywhoisusingsameusername I don't really know what you did to the wing to make it but out since I can't see, but if you tried scaling it or putting it inside a fuselage it may be colliding with something and freaking out.

  • WT#? 1.4 years ago

@heywhoisusingsameusername I'm sorry mate I can't really tell what is happening since it's so dark, if you have the aircraft still I can try to download it and try myself.

  • The Twin-Prop Challenge IS OVER 1.4 years ago

Aye I went a bit over 150 parts but I wanna enter anyway. Doesn't matter if I win or not I just want to share my build... That ok?

  • WT#? 1.4 years ago

Aye mate, it's too dark I can't tell what's going on. Can you try to recreate the bug during daylight or explain the issue you're having?

  • my new improved cockpit free to use size 9.5 1.4 years ago

A good start mate. For the next one, try using smooth front and smooth back options on the fuselages. It will hide the angles between the fuselage blocks for the main body. Hope this tip is useful.

  • Auto Loader 3 1.4 years ago

@Hiimakeplanes it doesn't bounce because the physics aren't in place for that. Once the projectile reaches the surface it despawns and outputs a damage value. Hesh is designed to create spalling instead of destroying hulls or fuselages, but fuselages definitely blow up and don't spall so it's just HE.

  • Auto Loader 3 1.4 years ago

@Hiimakeplanes the SH in HESH Is Squash head, but that kind of physics isn't in this game. I do wish soft body destruction physics were in sp instead of just parts blowing up and disappearing. But like it's namesake this game is simple. In reality the damage in this game is just a fixed damage value made prettier by adding some smoke and fire pngs. Though if you can replicate a hesh impact I'd be very impressed.

  • Auto Loader 3 1.4 years ago

Sadly hesh can't be made. Just HE, kinetic and APFSHE

Your style is similar to spefyjerbf, but he hasn't been active in a long time. You are now our honorary spefyjerbf.

  • Simple traveling mechanism 1.4 years ago

I think it definitely needs a dampening or tendon mimicking part ror the 'feet'. Since it's a runner it can go toe first but it needs to have a dampening effect to maintain contact with the ground more consistently and whiteout bouncing straight into the air when pushing off. Doing the same thing slightly with the joints will also give tolerance to the timing of the steps like in most leg examples of the meatier variety. This is very impressive though, and more than I can do with my current knowledge of funky trees.
