  • Swallow 5.2 years ago

    @shahram15 I just uploaded a new ornithopter, not for the challenge, but it's what I've been working on for a while. Go check it out!

  • Albatross Soar 5.2 years ago

    @shahram15 Hello again. I have finished a new ornithopter, as Adalbert Schmid's 1942 Ornithopter that I am going to upload in about an hour, with a new " rowing" mechanism. I'm very happy to see you too!

  • Swallow 5.2 years ago

    @shahram15 Yes, probably I will.

  • Probe "Balboa II" Exoplanet Explorer 5.2 years ago

    Yes, I am still interested in ornithopters. While I was out, I was working on a new flapping mechanism based of Adalbert Schmid's 1942 Manned Ornithopter, that flaps in a circular motion, rather than the traditional up and down motion. Which would also automatically adjust the angle of the wing. Adalbert Schmid though used a gimbal mechanism, that is pretty hard to replicate in simpleplanes. I successfully make a similar mechanism, that followed the same principle. I think I'm going to upload it today!

    And my favourite birds are The Albatross as the most efficient bird, and Anne's Hummingbird, as the most efficient when it comes to hovering.

    (Sorry I didn't reply sooner).

  • The Future Bird 5.6 years ago

    @TifftheCat I think so. I also made 2 other versions of my ornithopter, and atgxtg and Zyvx also made other versions. Check them out!

  • Oddbird (Mach 3 Ornithoper) 5.6 years ago

    Amazing! But I'm a little confused at how it managed to reach that speed. Can you please explain it?

  • Jet Bird ( fastest low altitude ornithopter? ) 5.6 years ago

    Does the glitch work on everybody? Or is it just me?

  • Fork Tailed Swift Mark IV (1000+ mph) 5.6 years ago

    Finally uploaded it! But a big problem here: The glitch is unstable! The speed can drop anytime. Can you help fix it?

  • Fork Tailed Swift Mark IV (1000+ mph) 5.6 years ago

    Awesome! I'm also making a supersonic ornithopter. I'm perfecting it right now. One of my prototype (thanks to a glitch) can reach 1000mph at 20,000 feet!

  • The Future Bird v.2 5.6 years ago

    @atgxtg When will you upload your "supersonic bird"?

  • The Future Bird v.2 5.6 years ago

    @atgxtg It's the pitch input! I just changed the AG from none to 1.

  • The Future Bird v.2 5.6 years ago

    @Zyvx Thank you!

  • The Future Bird 5.6 years ago

    @atgxtg Thanks for the advice!

  • The Future Bird 5.6 years ago

    @Zyvx sure, you can upload it! I'd be happy to see it.
