@asteroidbook345 probably because they didn't have a replacement plan since the f-35 was still having lots of critical issues. They will get rid of it by 2024 if not earlier.
@BogdanX it really sucks that they have so many problems but we will have to see if it ever lives up to its combat expectations in terms of being an assassin jet
@BogdanX yeah and did you hear about the new problems with the f-35 b and c staying supersonic for long periods of time. They cant do supersonic intercepts now. link
Go ahead and fly BogdanX's A-10 here BTW there is half off all DCS modules at this time where you can buy the A-10A or A-10C. Disclamer: STEAM DOES NOT SUPPORT EVERYTHING HALF OFF!
@CRJ900Pilot it would be shot down too much. If they were able to get a better gun on the F-35 and more hardpoints it would definitely be better but the f-35 sacrifices weapon count for stealth
@Omel The A-10s will probably only use CBU-87s now and its gun, but even the 30mm could be replaced with a gun that has a faster rate of fire and a larger magazine.
Good job! I’ve flown a 172 and you got stall physics just right! One thing: roll so normally the Cessna will roll a little bit more even after there is no input. I’m impressed with you doing even the ribs on all the surfaces! Lol it looks great man!
@Diloph I've tried to tell this community that realistic handling and acceleration is important to have a REPLICA if you have crazy specs then It is not a replica. Acceleration in SP depends on lbs of thrust and drag points. I like to make sure my plane has the correct lbs of thrust and then I move on to fine tuning the drag points to achieve realistic max speed and acceleration.
I’m trying to figure out a PID controller method but I can just give you my old one until I can derive the new one. The new one might be a submission into the funky trees challenge@PointlessWhyshouldi
ok lemme give you some advice since I actually made one... THE F-16 SUCKS TO MAKE! This was one of the first planes done with AutoCAD so they were able to make the shape super complex. Second, where the airbrakes are its actually sloped at about 15 degrees. Good job paneling but if you are paneling you probably need to make LG doors, a basic cockpit, and one more word of advice is to buy an f-16 model to find all of the details. Studying the airframe is key to building it. I made a lot of inaccuracies on mine that are little details because I didn't use a model or panel. on your custom surfaces use fuselage inlets. Refer to my build if you need to... the tails surface on mine is actually two pieces. Dont be afraid to try new techniques. The f-16 is HARD to build. I encourage you to take your time and spend time looking at the edges of the plane and how the fuselage flows. If you ever need any help on the F-16 just let me know.
check your turn rates on ur replicas for more realistic performance. You can also do a FBW using a base of ((clamp(((Trim / 2)+Pitch/clamp(((TAS/100)+.1),-100,100)),-1,1)) / 2) - clamp((AngleOfAttack / 300),-1,1) + (Roll / -3) you can take the roll off but the TAS is the speed at which your plane has the most effective turn rate. AOA controls how fast it turns. Looks great btw!
@BlackhattAircraft sadly is true
@Zokowi too big lol
@asteroidbook345 they might just place exterior weapons on the f-35 as well
@asteroidbook345 probably because they didn't have a replacement plan since the f-35 was still having lots of critical issues. They will get rid of it by 2024 if not earlier.
@CRJ900Pilot What about BaconAircraft's 172 Cessna

Is this Buckees lmao
man that tail is throwing me off lol

@Mustang51
@Homemade
@CRJ900Pilot However, I see ur point its one of the most iconic aircraft ever to be made.

+1The F-35A will replace the A-10
@Omel yep unfortunately

Lol not too bad ! Lmao
+1Wow very cool! Reminds me of a Draken
A-10 + Me-262 + Corsair???

What did you change?
WHAT 5 pics!?
Another good build!
Looks okay, nice weapons, and you probably know what else I would say...
@Diloph thats okay, I understand it your build but if you want to get a feel for the real plane realistic handling is key
Overall it looks really good and is well built but the problem I have is that if its supposed to be a replica make it realistic

+1Man, I've taught y'all nothing about realistic acceleration and handling.
+1nice camo man!
Lol nice

Ok @Jerrrrrrrrry
Cool@PointlessWhyshouldi
Hey @SnoWFLakE0s what functions can you put inside a PID controller and are PIAnd D just numbers?
Btw never use fuselage cones and put the ra dome inside the nose
I’m trying to figure out a PID controller method but I can just give you my old one until I can derive the new one. The new one might be a submission into the funky trees challenge@PointlessWhyshouldi
@PointlessWhyshouldi Fly By Wire. Its extremely FT complicated
ALSO FLIGHT PERFORMANCE MATTERS USE A FBW.

@MAHADI Actually the Anton has a very high roll rate. The D series has a slower roll rate.
@NightmareCorporation lol nice "tie" sort of
