I prefer a realist outlook on things though- for me, a harsh reality gives motivation. You're right though- most of the time news stretched too far in one direction is quite likely to be fake. Stocking up is always a good idea- after experiencing the SARS outbreak, my parents has always kept 2 boxes of masks or more. Open air markets are very likely under stringent health tests, closed or refurbished for sanitary purposes- believe it or not, the people and government here is quite diligent in further prevention. I haven't seen animal organs hanging around midair in my local market (very clean), even chunks of meat that used to hang from hooks are now put in refrigerators (cleaned daily) @sheepsblood
