New update out, now with runways and a couple of interesting ascents! Let me know what you think! (Although you have to earn all the start points still!) Enjoy! @BirdOfSteel @Smasher @Beeack @metalsaurus @Tully2001 @Mod @ian8811946
@BirdOfSteel No problem, it helped me to test it as well, since I've never tried to import as well. FYI: I was using sketchup 2013, and it didn't have the proper export format.
With the 2015 or 2016 version it shouldn't be a problem; here's a more detailed approach that I found on the interwebs:
@Beeack I was trying for Iceland! (A take on the Hornstrandir area specifically!) There is snow at the summit, I could make a winter edition... I would love to add villages! Thank you for the excellent suggestions!
@BirdOfSteel Additionally, Sketchup does have an online warehouse with thousands of free models, I'll bet you may find what you are looking for there for free.
@BirdOfSteel No worries, perhaps not in the asset store, though there is a ramp builder that goes on sale for 1/2 off every once in awhile. There is also a ramp brush, and I have purchased it, but sadly does not work with 5.1.4
@Tully2001 I have about 15 canned projects before I got to this... I even find myself looking at the landscape differently when driving now! I also used terra brush to paint the bulk of the landscape. I've been doing a hybrid approach for the best results, and getting to spend time on the little features rather than bulk painting. The tiling effect at a distance still bugs me a little, but with the newer Unity you can use Distingo.
@Tully2001 Of course, you may, idea away! It is still very much a work in progress, but I enjoy the mountain passes. I look forward to seeing what you come up with!
@BirdOfSteel Heya, for this project it was 2000x2000x300. For the Android version I may reduce it. The stadium mod that @Toscio56 posted has ramps and jumps and such, and he said that he used Trimble's Sketchup to build these sorts of objects and imported them into the project.
@ian8811946 That's fun! This is a first time for me, and I really enjoy building and manipulating landscapes. It's been quite the learning curve, but it is quite fun learning something new!
@Mod Hey, you should smile, good design is good design! It is really remarkably stable, most everything else seems to just flip over that is built to scale. (Though I do like to scale up the tires...)
@SkullsAndCrossbones You surely can! It is my pragmatically named Flying Chassis Aqua, it is supposed to be a base to build on, so enjoy! https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/2in0Vk/Flying-Chassis-Aqua
@BaconAircraft NP!
Nice Build!
Smooth!

@Smasher Whelp, it's still a work in progress, but it is an edit on @ian8811946 's take on @Mod 's wrangler, I'll include a link when I upload it!
https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/aX8hsW/Jeep-Wrangler-Body-1-1-Person-1-ISC2
@PilotOfFuture I sure can, though I'm not sure how fast it run!
@Beeack I'll check it out, I'm starting with mountain cabins, a village and runway towers.
@BirdOfSteel Yeah, it's a double edged sword. There are some really nice inexpensive low poly packs in the asset store!
Well Done!
@Beeack Thank you! I'm working on a snowier version, and I have successfully imported some interesting structures.
@metalsaurus Thanks for the spotlight! Outta sight!
(and props to @Mod for the base, I also have a take on @ian8811946 's portal axle version as well still in progress...)
On the shoulders of Giants indeed...

@Tully2001 Yeah, I hear that. I've bought a few assets but they were all very inexpensive and quite useful, such as the terra brush.

@Mod Hahaha, guess you got every detail! (Though, he sometimes flies out with hard cornering, which is why he is absent in the above picture!)
@Tully2001 It's in the Unity asset store (By the scene tab).

@MrNarwhal35 Hmm... Interesting... Maybe I'll look at putting the more polished examples on the Workshop...

@MrNarwhal35 Sadly, because of the Vault that is Mac you cannot enjoy the liberties of other platforms... (Ummm... Mods no workie for Mac...)

@saturn28 :D

@Mod Ha, nice touch! I thought the red detacher underneath was a fuel can! :)

@Mod They fit the 1:1 scale ratio much better as well. (Is that a cooler in the back?)
@saturn28 Thanks, you!

@BritishNarwhal7 Bummer! I was going to ask you what part of Briton you wanted made into a map!
@BritishNarwhal7 (And Danke!)
@BritishNarwhal7 Wowzah!
@Mod Thanks for the rig, Enjoy!
@ian8811946 Yep, I hear that, I sure enjoy the design aspect...Thanks again!
And congrats on Gold BTW, are you making a Gold Build?...
Sweet! Keep up the awesome work!
@SkullsAndCrossbones You surely can! It is my pragmatically named Flying Chassis Aqua, it is supposed to be a base to build on, so enjoy! https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/2in0Vk/Flying-Chassis-Aqua
@saturn28 It would be fun to have the lava active somehow as well...
@saturn28 I'll tinker with 5.3.6f1 this eve, and maybe trees there shall be! :)
And how did you activate the confetti layer? I was trying to do something similar, with no luck.
Awesome! What did you use to build the ramps?
That is @Mod 's very fine Wrangler
https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/9YCQ9l/Jeep-Wrangler-Replica-Crawler
@saturn28 Thank you! :) It will be better with the trees and such!
Nice Map!
@ian8811946 Hiya, Yeah I've got 5.3.6f1 installed as well, but I've never been able to make a single build not break...
@TrainDude @PilotOfFuture Android up!
@MechWARRIOR57 Yeah, but what I learn in each of these tests I still have to employ in the previous mods! Then it will go very slow for new stuff...
Wonderous! (And Congratulations!)
