@EternalDarkness Probably it is way tiny in scale. Try bumping up the scale by a few orders of magnitude, and move around the arrows; just in case it is hiding under the terrain. Good Luck!
@EternalDarkness Same here, just a different path up the Mountain! I find it is often easier to set discrete goals, even if you have no idea of how to attain them at the onset. It keeps your orientation, much like when using a compass in the forest, you find a landmark and then re-declinate. It keeps you on-track in the long run!
As far as a realistic damage system, I have a ton of ideas about that, but like you, don't have the requisite knowledge to execute. But together, I believe!
@EternalDarkness As far as an idea, what about a moving back and forth target too? Maybe have a limited number of volleys. Maybe smoke on the field to obscure the targets?
@EternalDarkness Heya, if you use blender to build, it should be very easy to import 3D Models. Also, under the simple planes mod tools, there is an asset pack with all of the Towers, Bunkers, Bases, and Runways.
@Tully2001 Here's a good starting point on getting all of the Android stuff setup; but the good news is, once you set it up, you only have to do it once!
@EternalDarkness Right on! It always seems to go slowest at first, but it's really pushing through that gets it done! Feel free to bug me if you have any more hurdles!
@Kerbango It doesn't take much for trees and grass, the hard part is not putting in too much and getting huge lag. If you look under the terrain, the trees are under a tab just like the textures, and you can paint them on, or mass add them randomly. After you import the asset pack into Unity (Just use the store browser tab WITHIN Unity and it will import into the project you are currently working on, no problems.)
Then you just go to Add Tree, and choose Conifer (type in search), and use the tree picture that has the play arrow on the icon (That just means the file contains; the shape, the textures, and normalizing maps for shading.)
@MAHADI Well, after building this challenge, I've come to realize, like much slang, it is more ambiguous than I thought! But here is the working definition in the context of this mod!:
My focus isn't so much looking good or bad, but more like a "wounded/damaged" version of an aircraft.
The focus of the Mod will be a series of piloting challenges to test our skills!
Bonus points for backstory (Why was it hastily repaired to be soooo Janky/Kludged)!
Bonus points for not flying strait! (Without going into a flat spin!)
Aircraft must be able to land at Bandit (Dirt), or make an emergency water landing. Landings do not have to be intact, but any crew stations must remain intact.
Good luck! (You are totally allowed to "Beat up" a prior build, and submit, FYI)
@EternalDarkness In NorthEast North America it's a similar gradient, but gets much more mild the closer you get to the Atlantic Ocean. (E.g. Newfoundland)
Heya, are you trying to make trees that physically interact? (E.g. Get knocked over, etc?) Otherwise I think there should be a couple of tree assets within the free Unity standard assets pack...
@EternalDarkness Wow! Yeah, that could be a little cramped! On, another note, I've successfully used the Trinus app to make SP 3D using my phone and a Google cardboardesque holder.
@EternalDarkness You can pull the window open a little more than the default, but I tend to use a 2ndary monitor for Unity. It's only 22", but I agree it can be hard to see everything on a laptop screen.
@EternalDarkness Mwhahaaha! I'll see what I can do, I'm pretty new as well, and it has all been trial by fire, so feel free to spam away! I could easily make a base map for you to fine tune methinks...
@EternalDarkness :D It's just like consuming the same whilst shooting pool; two eyes open it's hard to hit anything; one open you shoot strait as an arrow, and 2 eyes closed you can't see $#@!!
For real though, roger that and have a good evening. That one change was the difference between hour long builds and minute long... I hope it works for ya!
@Minnererg I'm certainly interested, and have been flying your 'craft. I've only read a little about the Theatres in the story. What regions would you want covered?
@EternalDarkness Ok, here is the Biggie: Make sure you have autorendering of light maps disabled. It is the difference between night and day.
Goto(OnFileTab)->WIndow->LIghting; then in lighting window, scroll down and UNcheck the box at the bottom marked AUTO. Reselect your objects and ReSave selected objects; and try saving the mod again.
@EliteIndustries1 Sure, I've got another in the works... it will similar to what @Joco80 is doing for this map, textures and detailing; plus all of the stuff you want to add. :)
@EternalDarkness Probably it is way tiny in scale. Try bumping up the scale by a few orders of magnitude, and move around the arrows; just in case it is hiding under the terrain. Good Luck!
@jamesPLANESii I've been working on a Spaceport with planetary harbor and rivers, but it just keeps locking up my PC!
Took off and Landed it! More stable than it looks, and I Love the NERF gun... (H.E. Nerf apparently!)
@bossboy101 I see, I have 16gb on my rig, but my spinning harddrive is actually the bottleneck.
@AquaDynamixx Ask and ye shall recieve! (Sometimes!)
Da Tools!
Enjoy!
@EternalDarkness I found the cannon mod to be wonderful for that, perhaps we can bug folks to re-skin it artillery style...
@EternalDarkness Are you using artillery projectiles as well?
@EternalDarkness Same here, just a different path up the Mountain! I find it is often easier to set discrete goals, even if you have no idea of how to attain them at the onset. @EternalDarkness Or even like the old board game "Battleship", and have a wall that you can't see the opponent over. Then we could MP tank it up!
@EternalDarkness As far as an idea, what about a moving back and forth target too? Maybe have a limited number of volleys. Maybe smoke on the field to obscure the targets?

@Tully2001 No problemo, mon frere!
@Tully2001 Here's a good starting point on getting all of the Android stuff setup; but the good news is, once you set it up, you only have to do it once!
Android SDK Setup
No problem! @Lizarddragon
@pushthelimits No problem, nice work!
@bossboy101 It's pidgin for ~"What's happening?", but in this case I used it because I didn't understand what you were asking for.
@ZephyrSystems Maybe... :)
@Joco80 Odd, I sent it twice yesterday, and once this morning...
@EternalDarkness Awesome! (I'm glad you're to the fun part!)
@jsaret Yep, that's one of the things that @Joco80 will address as the city is refined a bit. Thank you for the interest!
@Joco80 Not an email, but a contributor invite through SP. The file is still uploading...
@EternalDarkness Right on! It always seems to go slowest at first, but it's really pushing through that gets it done! Feel free to bug me if you have any more hurdles!
@MAHADI Fair enough! (How about just an engine on fire or reduced power (oil consumption?) :)
Hey @Joco80 , did you get the collab invite on this?

@rezaXXMT Great Idea! I've been tinkering with cluster, which is the same but with a single target. Lemme see...
@Tully2001 @Kerbango Yup, it's just part of the stardard asset pack, which is free and has a ton of good stuff in it, even ramps and etc.
Standard Asset Pack
You can even make an FPS "SimplePlanes : Warrior Mechanic Edition"!
Nice Janky Plane! And Wonderful backstory!
Heya, are you trying to make trees that physically interact? (E.g. Get knocked over, etc?) Otherwise I think there should be a couple of tree assets within the free Unity standard assets pack...
@EternalDarkness You can select the arrow tool too, and if you just grab one of the arrows it will "nudge" the selection.
@EternalDarkness I can almost hear my boots crunching in the icy mud!
@EternalDarkness Wow! Yeah, that could be a little cramped! On, another note, I've successfully used the Trinus app to make SP 3D using my phone and a Google cardboardesque holder.
@EternalDarkness Interesting! Are they more cold, and icy or the long muddy, overcast rains?
@EternalDarkness You can pull the window open a little more than the default, but I tend to use a 2ndary monitor for Unity. It's only 22", but I agree it can be hard to see everything on a laptop screen.
@EternalDarkness Were you the person who wanted the overcast Eastern Europe designer, BTW?
@XXmlgcaterpillarxX @Smoker I will likely do android when I re-release this with some different smoothing techniques. Oh, how you grow!
@Visify :D

@MethaManAircraft A lot of tinkering!...
@saturn28 :)
@MethaManAircraft That will be sweet! Be sure to shoot me a note when you post it!
@saturn28 Thank you!
