  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

I simply hope to not crash at usual...

  • Car Races 9.3 years ago

@bspboy This is not a "game", it's a phisic simulation with enginering training. :P

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

@Tully2001 the bracket is not working

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

HERE the plane I did NOT entered. @Tully2001

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

@Tully2001 nope, I have no response, so I did not enter it

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

too late. So I will race with the non beta engines...

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

@mediocreplanes are we sure that beta engines are not allowed? Someone can give a reply before the end of time?

  • WHICH COUNTRY YOU ARE FROM? 9.3 years ago

    Italy

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

Someone can confirm please that the BETA ENGINES are NOT allowed? Thanks...

    @AndrewGarrison

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

@kikasshes Only a little bit... it's a new beta engine version, but I'm pretty sure that it's not allowed. Just in case, it's ready. Not modded, obviously.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

    Not bad at all!!

    not bad

@points stack vtols like will be not a tomorrow... 1700 or 1800 mph are easy to achieve

  • Steam Beta 9.3 years ago

OMG! Rotators, rotators everywhere... any size, any movement... I'm not sure my heart can manage this... fall on the floor dead

just downloaded, and already love it.

  • Feature Suggestion - multi select parts 9.3 years ago

    It'll be usefull

  • New Rule: No more user reports in the forums | And other stuff 9.3 years ago

I partially disagree. The forum need a new structure more than one high impact giant new set of rules. Some thing are obviously rights (I.E. less meme) but some "spam" is simply a friendly community that live togheter.

A more precise structure, with sections and sub sections will keep all in good condition of visibility.

My two cents. I will respect the new rules, because this is not my home, but I can't agree with some of them.

@SpiritusRaptor the real question is "how consistant we will be on Andrew PC?"

On my PC my plane have at least 99% consistency, or maybe more... but every times, every single tournament... I crashed. So there is an high probability to crash again, for me.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

@Tully2001 the only way for me to have two more pieces, is to eliminate two pieces. Rudder and gear. So i can add an engine and an intake.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

@Tully2001 that mean only one thing... v tail and no gear

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

@Tully2001 In same way I already suspected it... :P

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

I think I'm on my best. If someone do better, ...he deserves to win

  • Your Favorite Plane? 9.3 years ago

I have many planes that I love, but all are WW2 birds... :)

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

My present 17 pieces unmodded plane is 7 seconds faster of my modded entry in the first tournament...

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

@aircraftarsenal123 The AI must controll it at first try... in the tournament the Andrew PC load the planes "for the first time" at all the attempt. If your plane crash at first attempt, you have 99% probability to crash 2 in a row at first race.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

Do you remember the 1st dev's tournament? It was a MOD tournament... any XML modding allowed.

It was winned by the DCGI Solano, by @BeryllCorp , a beautifull piece of enginery.

...her... my unmodded, 17 pieces plane is only ONE second slower, and I'm still working on it. :P

At next modded tournament maybe an unmodded plane can win...

  • Community Airplane - a shared project 9.3 years ago

I like this brainstorm. @Supercraft888 Nice idea, but we must put a goal. Like doing a specific race, or reach the max speed, or do a replica of a real plane... something to reach.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

@Typhlosion130 I don't think it's hard... It's exactly how I did, and achieved 0,57/.058 at present. This week I have not the time for a long testing, so probably I will crash, but who care? :D It's nice to do something all togeter, isn't it?

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

@Typhlosion130 I think that a couple of minutes limit will "stimulate" all the builder to create a faster plane... if there is a 3 minute limits, the idea will be "I MUST remain in 3 minutes.." if the limit will be shorter, the player will work harder.

    My two cents.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

@Typhlosion130 ... I could tell you but then I'd kill you. I'm joking of course. Many engines, wings that serve, and the bare minimum to keep them all together to have little weight. Reduce friction with the air with all possible expediency (nudging, I love you) and try to make a plane that has the maneuverability "right" to follow the perfect line, which is shorter and faster. Too much or too little agile agile will not work just as well.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

@AndrewGarrison Please, insert a decent time limit or some races between slow planes will take ten minuts... ☺

  • Seventeen Ronin v2.0 9.3 years ago

    Still working..

    Still working

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

Remember, a plane that flies at 9000 mph but crash will never win.. :D Do not do my same error. (I always do the fastest plane I can, and I always crash)

  • Seventeen Ronin v2.0 9.3 years ago

Great work, mate! This strange thing flies very well and very fast!

@Tully2001 we are in troubles, my friend! :D

  • J-76 The Minimalist 9.3 years ago

    @Typhlosion130 good luck anyway :D

  • J-76 The Minimalist 9.3 years ago

    Good luck! :D

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

@f1racing6 Yes, you should.... :P At least 4 players declared times around 1.03, and I think the real limit is under one minute. And we can't know the times of the players that keep it secret...

    1.03

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

@CortwadeAirlines Sadly, you can't be competitive in a jet race with a prop plane. Even if the jets are not modded.

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

    @Typhlosion130 menage a trois ;)

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

@Tully2001 same mine, i can't do better tests now, but seem i'm slower at start, then faster in flight

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

@Stingray I see you in the list

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

Do you achieve what we said? @Tully2001

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

I'm a bit worried.. my plane was faster thant the @Tully2001 one, but he is working on a complete rebuilt...

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

I find the 17 parts limit very stimulating. It's a GREAT idea, thanks lot! @AndrewGarrison

  • Flyweight - Oceanview Speedway 9.3 years ago

@Tully2001 a few times are written down in this post. At present your one and my one are the fastest, but I think the limit is a lot lower than this, and i'm pretty sure that there are some "secret times" way better.
