Nice aircraft, but the aircraft installation of air brakes and flaps could improve the landing of this aircraft. Also there appears to be an issue with the left rear landing gear, it is jammed and cannot retract when the gear button is pressed. The landing gear piece is connected to the wing part. Other than that, the aircraft is very neat, and I do like the internal cockpit details.
It’s supposed to be fuselage art of a serpent. I saw a few of pictures of World War 1 and 2 aircraft with art of serpents or snakes along the side of the fuselage @xNotDumb
I was think that the side fuel tanks could be dangerous, but since they’re located externally(I think) they seem pretty safe as long as a round doesn’t penetrate into the crew compartment
@YourLocalHuman how realistic do these crafts have to be in terms of performance? Should I try to build aircraft as realistic to the World War One period as can be or should I design them to counter the other aircraft submitted to this challenge?
A bomber on the side of the Marineon Empire would be a great help @brentisaac22
I’m already planing a light bomber, but maybe a medium or heavy bomber should see some light

Remove some fuel from the front so the Center Of Mass will shift back.
Remove the inside pair of elevators they are not necessary.

Change the control surfaces on the edges of the wings to « roll » alone.
Reduce weight where possible.

@YourLocalHuman A manual has been published on the Kestrel in an attempt to teach pilots how to fly the aircraft safely. This is only a stopgap as the Kestrel Bis is ready to be sent to replace Kestrel I’s on the frontlines
@Yourlocalhuman welp, I guess I’ll rename it to widow maker and try to create instructions for better handling. The Polikarpov I-16 had issues similar to mine, so I’ll try a redesign.

Also, is there a horsepower limit to engine? I feel like there should be since engines of the time were not very powerful and planes usually had a maximum speed of 150 at most

The b-10’s one of my favorites too! I remember building one years back.
Some advice, check the fuselage collisions for the turrets in the future. Sometimes you get a weird yawing motion. You nailed the nose turret though!
