@OldBossy2 Which one? There were numerous “flying bathtubs” including but not limited to: Ilyushin Il-8, Ilyushin Il-10, Ilyushin Il-16, Ilyushin Il-20, Alekseyev I-218; but the most famous one was the Ilyushin Il-2 nicknamed “The Black Death” by German troops.

@OldBossy2 It wasn’t a direct copy, but it used the same concept. It was the Tupolev Tu-144 (NATO codename: Charger) and it looked similar. Production lasted from 1963 to 1983 with 16 examples built.
