Well, landing is just about impossible, but aside from that, this is one of the best autogyros I've seen. Handles remarkable well in the air as well. Great job!
@ShakzDar Remove the cockpit, and save the rest of the plane as a sub-assembly. Download the file for the challenge, and attach the cockpit in that file to your plane. Then upload that.
@Hideo Sure is. Next competition I should be able to allow more entries. This time around, however, I'm already going to be saddled with flying the oceanview race course 135 times :P
Pretty cool. You can still upload this as an entry. Just swap the cockpit for the one in the challenge download.
Also, sorry to say, there's already a real P-61, also known as the Black Widow. You should look it up. It's a beautiful plane. One of the first night fighters ever designed.
Just an update. We currently have 43 entries. That's already much more than I anticipated. Since each plane requires three times on the course, I'm going to cap the entries of and close the contest at 45. So get those final two entries in quick before you lose your chance!
@LordofLego Did you see my fix? It doesn't need to be less nose heavy. It flies just fine as it is. If it really bothers you, just change the wing shape to flat bottom.
Just so you know, one of the qualifiers is that it has to be able to make one lap on the speedway. So I'll do my best to get it around the course, but if I can't I'll have to disqualify it.
@LordofLego Done! All I did was move the front landing gear up vertically a little so it would sit level on the ground. I uploaded it as a successor for you.
You know, there's a three view that totally gives away what this is, right? lol.
Pretty cool, though. One of my favorite WWII aircraft. Only one still in existence, and it's currently under restoration.
@XVIindustries You may submit planes for the line-up, but you have to include a back-story on the plane and the team for me to include it with the others.
You just have to get crafty, and learn to blend and clip parts creatively to get the look you want. I concur that more cockpit selection would be nice, but it's not really necessary.
People upvote what they like. Unfortunately, there are a few really talented builders on this site that set the bar extremely high when it comes to build quality, and that affects people's tendency to upvote planes and projects that don't quite reach that bar. I'm guilty of this as well. I'll go through the new planes section and most of the stuff I see I just pass up.
This mod is great! Could use a little polish, but it's great. Would it be possible to add the ability to toggle lights by binding them to action groups?
Very nice!
@Verdnan @Twiek Sadly no. The next challenge will be totally different.
Well, landing is just about impossible, but aside from that, this is one of the best autogyros I've seen. Handles remarkable well in the air as well. Great job!
@AgDynamics They'll be disqualified, then. Unfortunately the rules state each plane has to be able to fly one lap on the course.

Seems a bit short for a "hyper realistic" model. Looks great, love the detail, but the dimensions are just a tad off.

It's gotta be a successor bro

Yup. Love twin booms and split tails.
This is the kind of plane that deserves an interesting and slightly comical description/backstory.
@merasmusthewizard Yes, turboprops are allowed for this challenge. @Danillio05 No modded parts.
@nickasaurusrex Derp :P
@LordofLego front.
@Shmexysmpilot Yeah. There's plenty of time to revise.
@UltimatePilot I sure did. Must have had a brain fart.
@Shmexysmpilot The challenge is on until the 8th, so if you want to take time to refine your plane you've got plenty of it.

@Timmy123429 Just one.
@FutureTEC With blended fuselage parts.
@Bostin20 He means actually having a transition from blue skies to stars.
If you can find a way to make this worth you're while, then yes, this would be awesome!

@XVIindustries I think I can handle it ~_^
@Mrwhiskers85 Just one.
@BigCat Just one plane per person this time around. Sorry :(
@Delphinus Oh! Good point. I'll add that.
@TheOwlAce xml editing
@XVIindustries That was weird. Is that a bug or a feature?
@XVIindustries You may submit planes for the line-up, but you have to include a back-story on the plane and the team for me to include it with the others.
@Delphinus HOLY COW THOSE ARE BIG LETTERS!
Also thanks :P
@Bmw1230 parts clipping isn't that hard on a mobile device. I do it all the time. Just got to be crafty. The resizable parts make it a lot easier.
Great job!
Very nice! I love flying boats!
That's actually pretty fun! Great experiment!

Sure. Have my upvote. Why not?

Another cool one. Love those weapons!
Really cool!
@WhenSupertogoPhysics Thanks! :D
@Ctracerx2 Just pause your anti-virus while you download it, then reactivate it once it's downloaded and installed.
@Delphinus Thanks! @JacobHardy64 Ha! It is a fun name :D
@AeroEngineering Sure. Feel free to add to the line up. When I've got a while bunch I may put together a splash image.
@Cedy117 huh. You're right. My bad bro.
Great Start. Keep it up!
