I do like the style, it's like a higher-effort edition of the tutorial plane. If you turn on fuselage smoothing (open up the part settings and set "smooth front" and "smooth back" to "ON") you could make some actually very nice aircraft.

  • Write down the general features of a fictional airplane. 1.9 years ago

Introducing the AeroPegasus, a marvel of modern aviation. This fictional airplane is a testament to human ingenuity and the relentless pursuit of progress. The name “AeroPegasus” is derived from the mythical winged horse, Pegasus, symbolizing the aircraft’s ability to soar through the skies with grace and power.

The AeroPegasus is a large, long-haul aircraft, designed to carry over 500 passengers. It measures approximately 250 feet in length, with a wingspan of 270 feet, making it one of the largest commercial airplanes in the world. Despite its size, the AeroPegasus is designed with efficiency in mind, boasting a lightweight yet durable structure.

The aircraft’s purpose is to revolutionize long-distance travel. It is designed to fly non-stop on routes over 8,000 miles, connecting major cities across the globe. This makes the AeroPegasus ideal for transcontinental and transoceanic flights, reducing travel time and increasing passenger comfort.

The AeroPegasus is powered by four high-bypass turbofan engines, each capable of producing over 100,000 pounds of thrust (use my thrust tester for this) These engines are not only powerful but also incredibly efficient, reducing fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

The aircraft’s wings are a marvel of aerodynamic engineering. They feature a unique, flexible design that allows them to adjust to different flight conditions, improving fuel efficiency and reducing turbulence. The wings also have large, efficient winglets that further enhance the aircraft’s aerodynamic performance.

Inside, the AeroPegasus offers an unparalleled passenger experience. The cabin is spacious and comfortable, with wide seats, ample legroom, and large windows that offer stunning views of the sky. The aircraft also features advanced noise reduction technology, ensuring a quiet and relaxing flight.

The AeroPegasus is equipped with state-of-the-art avionics and safety systems. It features a glass cockpit with touchscreen displays, advanced navigation systems, and automated flight controls. The aircraft also has multiple redundant systems to ensure safety in all flight conditions.

The aircraft’s cargo hold is equally impressive. It can carry up to 50 tons of cargo, making the AeroPegasus a versatile choice for both passenger and cargo transportation. The cargo hold is easily accessible and designed for quick loading and unloading, reducing turnaround times.

@Rocketguy2079 yeah sure go ahead. I’m not super busy, I can likely get them done tonight.

  • [CLOSED] Can-Am Racing Challenge 1.9 years ago

@ToeTips pretty much. I’m about 6’ 1”, but they say I’m gonna be like 6’ 5-6”. I don’t really believe that but I wouldn’t complain if it happened lol

  • Question 1.9 years ago

@Aviator720 I think we all know that story’s not true. You caused a lot of drama on your old account, so you made a new one in order to start fresh. It’s very obvious that you two are the same: you talk the same way, you both use markdown formatting the same way, you both have about the same level of building skill. You are the same person.

Also, Superliner spotlights all of your builds but does not upvote them, suggesting that you don’t want to break the site rules in that sense.

@DuskBlade my best suggestion would be either
    A) crank your render distance up insanely high (you’ll need Optifine or something)
    Or
    B) make a really zoomed out map,
I think you can do it with a cartographer’s table but I might be wrong.

This map is truly gigantic, but believe it or not, is is to scale.

@5 I used Chunker. Not sure if there’s a better converter online, if there is I would not opposed to using it.

@ShinyGemsBro it was made for 1.19 and later, but I suspect it probably works in earlier versions as well.

@V let me know if it works, I gotta say I'm interested. If it doesn't I can probably recompile it into some really old version for more compatibility.

@Majakalona I think you can just sign in with your old account on your current device and you should be able to play the game.

@Rattlesnake probably 1.19.0, but to my knowledge it doesn't have any fancy new blocks or anything so it's likely compatible with anything after the aquatic update.

  • Hoptro Devildog (1970) 1.9 years ago

@Sm10684 I'm fine with it being as is, but I would personally prefer it be a successor. if it's not, it's not a huge deal, but it would still be nice so I can see all the entries in one place.

@Boeing727200F speaking as someone who knows a bit about computers, this is extremely dangerous. If what you're saying is unexaggerated, you should really tell your parents that the laptop is a problem. If it helps, show them my comment here.

  • How many people actually bought Simple Planes? 1.9 years ago

So I tend to be against piracy if it is not truly victimless. For instance, if most people pirated SP, the developers would not be making enough money to keep the site up and running. However, it seems to me that you did the right thing and paid for the game, so I find it hard to find an issue with that. I would compare that to borrowing a friend's PC or console or something to try out a game, then actually buying it later. One individual does not harm Jundroo by getting SP for free, but if piracy becomes widespread and people are choosing it as an alternative then that is a problem.

Personally, I am also not opposed to emulation, as it isn't harming anyone. If you actually paid for a used console and game that is out of production, the game company still wouldn't make any money, which is why I'm fine with emulating something like say MarioKart Wii.

You might try asking the mods to make it a successor for organizational purposes, but if you don’t it’s not a big deal.

  • [CLOSED] Can-Am Racing Challenge 1.9 years ago

@Rattlesnake oh ok you'll still be able to be a judge then if you want.
We're going to judge out of two categories, realism/15 and performance/10 for an overall/25 scoring system. We will both individually grade each entry and then the average of our two scores are going to be the final verdict for that entry. Please be very serious about judging these and make sure you follow all the criteria in the description of this post so that everything can be judged fairly.

  • [CLOSED] Can-Am Racing Challenge 1.9 years ago

@Sm10684 awesome. currently it is about 10:30 AM in my timezone, I probably won't accept any submissions turned in after midnight. Hopefully I'll be able to get the judging done tomorrow.
