SR-91 Aurora

Well yes. At Roswell actually crashed a UFO. But it was not the only case, there were four other episodes, for a total of five.

Two crashes (including Roswell's) involved disk-shaped vehicles, capable of traveling outside the atmosphere and technology too advanced to be rebuilt with reverse engineering, at least for now.

The other three concerned triangular-shaped aircraft destined for atmospheric flight, with technology that was incredibly superior to the one currently in our possession but sufficiently comprehensible to be decoded by our engineers and transferred to the most advanced prototype ever designed by the human species: SR 91 "Aurora" .

The aircraft was repeatedly seen from the ground during the tests, and sometimes confusedly photographed, resulting only a confused and blurred triangle in the sky. Below the description of the project, to be considered highly classified and not to be disclosed.

Up to the speed of sound, it operates like a (not so) conventional aircraft, with a negative arrow wing, dynamic instability and controls entrusted to the computer to perform the maneuvers required by the pilot.

At sound speed the wings close in scissors in a completely automatic way, returning to special positions and leaving the maneuver surfaces that were previously on the trailing edge outside as the leading edge. The plane flies like a lifting body, minimizing the friction and heating due to it.

At that point the plane can accelerate using the conventional engine and exceeding 1000 miles per hour, beyond this speed a negative pressure zone is created behind the fuselage surrounded by a front of very high pressure. The "Blueshift" (AG1) propulsion can therefore be activated, which is an exoreactor that burns behind the vehicle a special fuel enriched with Gallium - which gives the characteristic blue color during combustion and which gives its name to the system - which detonates in the low pressure area pushing the plane forward with incredible strength. The detonations follow each other continuously and at an extremely high frequency (3000 hz)

Activating "Blueshift" before 1000 miles per hour gives no thrust, but the explosions will trigger when the right pressure conditions are reached.

"Blueshift" is not controlled by throttle - it is not possible to choke the action, or the right stoichiometric ratio is reached or the fuel enriched with Gallium and other elements simply does not burn - therefore to go below 1000 miles per hour it is not enough put throttle at zero, but it must be deactivated (AG1) or abruptly activating the aerodynamic brakes bringing the aircraft below the speed of sound. If it has not been deactivated the explosions will start again as soon as the critical speed is again exceeded to create the pressure wave.

The plane has a very low stall speed due to the lift generated simultaneously by the wings and lifting body shape.

The plane is extremely manoeuvrable (thanks to the aforementioned dynamic instability) at all speeds except the lowest.

AG1 = Blueshift on / off (does not trigger if you do not reach at least 1000 miles per hour)
AG 2/3/4 = Launch of all missiles
B = brakes
