The Polikarpov I-15 "Chaika" was a Soviet biplane developed in the 1930's. A maneuverable fighter, this plane fought in the Spanish Civil War, the Winter War and in defense against Operation Bobbarossa. Obsolete against German aircraft, the Soviets would soon rush to make a new fighter. The I-15 was replaced in 1942.
